Amid wintery storms across the Midwest and East Coast, the NBA has held it down. With clear skies approaching, it’s time to look at the best NBA player props for Tuesday.
Luka Doncic stole the headlines last night with 46 points, 12 assists, and seven rebounds in the Los Angeles Lakers’ win over the Chicago Bulls, before Donovan Mitchell dropped 45 points of his own in the Cleveland Cavaliers’ victory against the Orlando Magic.
The Tuesday slate is headlined by a cross-conference matchup between the Detroit Pistons and the Denver Nuggets, who won eight of their last 11 games despite being without Nikola Jokic.
Here are my best NBA player prop picks and bets for Tuesday, Jan. 27.

Avdija sat out of last night’s tough matchup with the Boston Celtics, only to be able to return to the court against the Washington Wizards tonight. He went under this line in three of his last four, but he also played just 18 minutes in one of those, and he went over in four straight just before that.
A major part of Avdija’s success involves his ability to get to the free-throw line, and the Wizards surrendered the fourth-most free-throw attempts per game. The Wiz also allowed the second-most points per game overall, and Avdija could be eager to stick it to his former team.

Kuzma snatched 10 rebounds in his last game against the Nuggets, and he went over in four straight games without Giannis Antetokounmpo on the floor, which actually does not count that last game, during which his two-time MVP teammate was injured. That paints a better picture of his situation than his general numbers, which show he went under in four of his last five.
Without Antetokounmpo on the court, Kuzma should be prepared to play lots of minutes and to be much more involved on the glass. He averaged as many as 8.5 rebounds per game in a season and can be a strong rebounder when that’s his focus, and this feels like a nice opportunity to get in front of the trend.

I wish that there was a way to bet Williamson 5+ assists for better odds, but he has a great chance of going over this line. While Williamson hasn’t been great as a scorer against the Oklahoma City Thunder, in part, because they load up the driving lanes to stop him, he’s consistently delivered as a passer, recording five, six, eight, and 10 assists in their matchups dating back to the start of the last season.
The Thunder have a very strong defense and allowed the fifth-fewest assists per game. However, they’ve done a poor job of defending the perimeter, and Williamson should be given space to drive and kick the ball out to three-point shooters.

Robinson comes into Tuesday’s game against the Nuggets having made 46.2 percent of his triples in January while going over this line in seven of his last eight contests. He hasn’t faced the Nuggets, but Denver is only 16th in made threes allowed per game since Jokic’s injury.
Cade Cunningham demands lots of attention and is a great passer who will consistently make the right read. Robinson is hot and will continue to get minutes with Caris LeVert out of the lineup, so I will stick with what’s been working.

The Brooklyn Nets rank dead last in three-point percentage allowed over the last few weeks at a whopping 40.4 percent. Brooks took advantage of that when they played last Monday, going 6-9 from deep, even though that was the only time he beat this line in his last seven appearances.
Devin Booker is expected to miss tonight’s contest, which means that Brooks should be in line to be the primary option. The Nets haven’t given a reason to suggest they will slow Brooks down, and he will take tons of shots without Booker on the floor.
