The NBA returns with a stuffed schedule on Thursday, and I’ve picked my favorite player props from the action.
Cade Cunningham dropped 29 points and 13 rebounds as the Detroit Pistons took down the Oklahoma City Thunder, while Nikola Jokic went for 30 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists as the Denver Nuggets demolished the Boston Celtics at Mile-High.
There aren’t many matchups between projected playoff teams today, but one of the few will see the Los Angeles Lakers visit the Phoenix Suns. The Houston Rockets will also head south to face the Orlando Magic in a cross-conference showdown.
Here are my top NBA player prop picks and bets for Thursday, Feb. 26.

Nembhard usually doesn’t show his face anywhere near the offensive or defensive glass, having only averaged 2.8 rebounds despite playing 31.7 minutes per game. He also grabbed one rebound in three straight games and went under this line in five of seven games in February.
The Indiana Pacers are about to face the Charlotte Hornets, who allowed the fewest rebounds per game in the entire NBA, and who have Miles Bridges and Moussa Diabate back at their disposal after they served their suspensions. Nembhard only had two rebounds in 34 minutes when these teams matched up earlier in the year, and I don’t see a reason for a change in trajectory.

Stephon Castle recently enjoyed a wave of national appreciation for his defense, and for very good reason. Victor Wembanayama dominates the headlines, but Castle has already become a premier perimeter defender, and he’s more than capable of locking up the majority of players he matches up with.
Denim went under in four of his last six games and scored exactly three points in two of his last three contests. He also shot just 34.2 percent from the field in February and 39.6 percent for the year, and unless his inconsistent three-point shot is dropping, I think he’ll have a difficult time with San Antonio’s guard and wing defenders.

Sengun is coming off a 26-point, 13-rebound, 11-assist triple-double against the Sacramento Kings last night. However, he had gone under this points line in four straight games just before that, and I’m not optimistic that he will continue to reverse the trend during tonight’s outing.
The Magic are only 20th in points in the paint allowed per game, marking a sharp decrease from the past couple of seasons, during which they looked like an exciting and ascending franchise. However, Sengun was only 11-31 from the field during their only previous matchup, and while he went over with 30 points, he needed a season-high in field goal attempts to get there.

With Devin Booker and Dillon Brooks both out of the Suns’ lineup, somebody is going to need to step up as a playmaker tonight. I think that Allen has a chance to fill that void, seeing as he went over this number in six straight games before cashing the under in his last two outings.
The Lakers rank 22nd in assists allowed per game, are a mess with their rotations, and regularly allow blow-bys on the dribble-drive. Jalen Green doesn’t pass the ball much, and someone is going to need to support Collin Gillespie on the ball.

Lauri Markkanen, Jaren Jackson Jr., Walker Kessler, and Jusuf Nurkic are all going to miss tonight’s game, which means that Filipowski should get plenty of minutes and plenty of shots. He only scored 13 points in 24 minutes against the stout Rockets in his last outings, but he went over with 20 and 15 points in the two games before that.
The Utah Jazz are taking on the New Orleans Pelicans, who allowed the fifth-most points per game in the entire league. Filipowski will get his minutes and plenty of chances to take advantage of a friendly opponent.
