It’s time to close out another week with more of my favorite NBA player prop picks for Friday.
The San Antonio Spurs continued to legitimize their NBA Finals ambitions by beating the Detroit Pistons by 15 points last night, led by Victor Wembanyama’s 38 points, 16 rebounds, and five blocks. Brandin Podziemski also had a great night with 26 points and nine rebounds to lift the shorthanded Golden State Warriors over the Houston Rockets in a road overtime victory.
The Friday slate includes headlining matchups between the New York Knicks and the Denver Nuggets, as well as the Los Angeles Clippers and the Spurs.
Here are my best NBA player prop picks and bets for Friday, March 6.

Herro went over in three of his last four games and averaged 21.3 points per game for the year, but he also isn’t playing his full minutes load as he continues to return from an injury. He was also excellent at shooting the ball recently, but that should change against a Charlotte Hornets team that has been buttoned up on defense.
The Hornets allowed the second-fewest points per game and played at one of the slowest paces in the entire league over their last 15 outings. The combination of strong defense and a low-possession game should make it difficult for Gerro, who shot a career-low 35.8 percent from three and isn’t taking a ton of free throws.

Murray is easily having the best year of his career, increasing his scoring total from 21.4 points last year to 25.7 this time around. He went for 28 last night and cashed the over in four straight games, including 39- and 45-point explosions.
The Nuggets only matched up with the Knicks on one prior occasion this season, and Murray scored 39 points during that double-overtime encounter. Nikola Jokic will draw the attention of the defense, but Murray is playing outstandingly well and can beat the Knicks’ perimeter defenders.

Mathurin has been a popular target for me since he was traded to the Clippers. While he scored 23 points in his last outing against the Indiana Pacers, the team that traded him, he also scored just two points on 1-6 (16.7 percent) shooting in his only previous matchup with the Spurs this season.
The primary reason that I am fading Mathurin is that there has been a reliance on getting into the paint to cash the over. He attempted 7.4 free throws per game and shot a detestable 18.8 percent from three-point land while averaging 19.2 points per game for the Clippers, and he simply will not have as many opportunities on the interior with Wembanyama lurking.

LeBron James is not going to play for the Los Angeles Lakers tonight, which means that Reaves is going to take on a starring role alongside Luka Doncic. He was excellent in that position earlier this year and went over this line in back-to-back games, even while sharing the floor with James.
Reaves went over this line in four of his last six games while averaging 4.9 rebounds without LeBron on the court. The Pacers also ranked an unimpressive 23rd in rebounds allowed per game over the last few weeks and don’t have much size whenever they’re on the court.

Welcome back to the NBA court, Jayson Tatum! Just about 10 months after he tore his Achilles, the Celtics’ superstar is expected to play his first game of the season, signaling that he will be a part of his team’s push for another NBA championship.
The Celtics have played well all year without Tatum, and I don’t expect him to dominate or stop the ball as he did in years past. It’s also much different for a player to knock down shots in practice and to make contests self-created jumpers, and it should take some time for Tatum to regain his familiarity with NBA speed.
