Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy is listed as questionable on their injury report
The Rebels beat Tulane 41-10 in the first round of the College Football Playoff
Georgia’s defensive line ranks below league average in Pass Rush Win Rate
After beating Tulane in dominant fashion, the Ole Miss Rebels now face off against the Georgia Bulldogs for the second time this season in the quarterfinals. The Rebels went the distance with Georgia in their previous contest as Trinidid Chambliss had no issue with picking apart their defense. With the Bulldogs struggling to collapse the pocket, expect Chambliss to put together another productive performance and help the Rebels clear the over on their team total.

Even with their coaching staff dealing with changes, Ole Miss had no issue with putting away Tulane in the first round of the playoffs. Kewan Lacy played a major role in their success as the Rebels' running back rushed for 87 yards while averaging 5.8 Yards per Carry. Lacy’s night did take a turn for the worse though as he suffered an injury late in the game and was unable to return to the field.
Fortunately for the Rebels, Trinidad Chambliss will be able to keep their offense competitive on Thursday night as he faces off against a Georgia defensive line who ranks below league average in Pass Rush Win Rate. With the Bulldogs struggling to get in the backfield, Chambliss will be able to operate in a clean pocket which increases his chances of moving the ball down the field. If the Rebels team total crosses through the key number of 24, then reduce the size of your wager.

Since taking the reins as the starting quarterback for Ole Miss, Trinidad Chambliss has been able to play at a high level as the Rebels' signal caller ranks fourth in the SEC in Quarterback EPA per Play. His efficiency was on full display throughout the year as Chambliss ended the regular season throwing for 19 touchdowns and just 3 interceptions.
While the Rebels' offense have thrived, their defense has underperformed per their preseason projections. Primarily in regard to stopping the run as their front seven ranks just league average in Def Success Rate, PPA, and in Line Yards. With their secondary forced to stack the box, they have been vulnerable to getting beat deep as the Rebels also rank in the bottom half of the board in Def Pass Explosiveness.

Even though the Georgia Bulldogs are listed as one of the betting favorites to win the CFB National Championship, their offense has struggled to play at a championship-winning level as they rank just league average in PPA and in Pass Success Rate. While Gunnar Stockton has been able to connect with his pass catchers at a high rate, the Bulldogs quarterback has been very conservative with his throws as he is averaging just 7.6 Yards per Completion.
On the other side of the field, the Bulldogs' second level of their defense has been one of the best units in the nation as they reside near the top of the board in Def Finishing Drives, Success Rate, Havoc, and in PPA. With their defensive line struggling to generate pressure, their suffocating coverage will be tested as Chambliss possesses more than enough arm talent to pick apart their secondary.
