The Seattle Mariners scored the most runs of any team on the Friday slate. They have a great chance of putting up another big offensive result on Saturday against Patrick Corbin.

The Seattle Mariners beat the Texas Rangers into submission on Friday. Seattle won 13-1, and has a great opportunity to stay hot at the plate against Patrick Corbin.
Corbin has notoriously been one of the easiest pitchers to figure out in Major League Baseball. Corbin is 2-1 with a 3.79 ERA and a 1.58 WHIP.
He has allowed 24 hits in 19 innings with just 15 strikeouts. Corbin has done a nice job limiting walks and home runs allowed, which have improved his numbers, but I expect players like Cal Raleigh to figure him out quickly.
Luis Castillo will throw for Seattle, and while he hasn’t been great, he still has elite pitching ability. Castillo is 3-2 with a 3.62 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP.
Walks have been a major problem for Castillo, but Texas offense leaves a lot to be desired.

The Yankees and Rays are on completely different playing fields. Last night, the Rays failed to score a single run off Patrick Corbin and New York’s bullpen.
I expect a similar result on Saturday because Zack Littell hasn’t been very trustworthy. The pitcher is 1-5 with a 5.03 ERA and a 1.24 WHIP.
Littell has surrendered eight home runs in 34 innings. New York is a powerful team and will capitalize on his mistakes.
Clarke Schmidt hasn’t been great for the Yankees, but New York’s offense trumps the Rays. I expect players like Aaron Judge to carry New York to victory in this Saturday showcase.

The Mets have been one of the best teams in baseball all season, and this is exactly what Steven Cohen aspired to do after buying the team. New York is a legitimate title contender, but they’re going to need some help to beat teams like the Dodgers.
The first thing the Mets need is for Juan Soto to hit the baseball. Soto is batting just .258 with five home runs. They need more out of him, and it looks like he has started to turn a corner in the past week.
He is 8-26 with three doubles and two home runs in the past seven days. I expect him to bring this momentum into Saturday against the Cardinals.
New York won 9-3 on Friday, and they have beaten the Cardinals in nine straight games. Extending the winning streak to ten games seems very likely with Tylor Megill on the mound.
Megill is 3-2 with a 1.74 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP. He has struck out 39 batters in 31 innings.
