There is a ton of value for Friday’s MLB slate, especially in the NRFI category. Great pitchers like Joe Ryan and Jack Flaherty will take the ball on Friday, so the offense should be at a premium.

The Twins travel to Cleveland to take on the Guardians and this game should be a pitcher’s duel. Joe Ryan will get the ball for Minnesota against Gavin Williams of Cleveland.
Ryan enters this contest with a 10-5 record and a 2.82 ERA. His strikeout numbers have been phenomenal as he has fanned 137 batters in 121.1 innings.
Ryan is coming off one of his worst starts of the year where he allowed four runs against Washington. I trust in his ability to bounce back like he has done all season.
Unlike Ryan, Williams is coming off a dominant start against Kansas City where he only allowed two runs in six innings. Williams is 6-4 with a 3.51 ERA in 2025 and should have plenty of confidence against a Twins team that sold at the deadline.
When looking at team batting averages, the Guardians are last in the league hitting just .228. Minnesota hasn’t been much better, hitting .242 as a team.
These two offenses, combined with strong pitchers has made us target the NRFI for this game. There are two solid pitchers on the mound, and I expect them to shine.

Jack Flaherty will get the ball for Detroit against Ranger Suarez of the Phillies for our second NRFI wager on Friday’s slate.
The Tigers have struggled so far in the second half of the season, but I think they will turn things around. Flaherty will have to be a big piece for Detroit moving forward if they want to make a playoff push in 2025.
Flaherty is 6-10 with a 4.51 ERA this season, but he is a much better pitcher than what the numbers show. He relies on strikeouts with 137 in 109.2 innings.
Suarez enters this contest with an 8-4 record and a 2.59 ERA. In his last start against the Yankees, he pitched 5.2 innings allowing just one run while striking out eight.
Suarez doesn’t rely on the strikeout as much as Flaherty, but he can definitely keep hitters off balance.
These offenses are in the top 13 in terms of team batting average, but this doesn’t comcern me for the NRFI. The Tigers have yet to garner momentum since the All-Star break and I think Jack Flaherty is going to shut down Philadelphia.

Braves vs. Reds - Bryce Elder vs. Brady Singer: These starters have posted brutal seasons on the mound including a 6.29 ERA from Elder.
Pirates vs Rockies - Andrew Heaney vs. Antonio Senzatela: Senzatela is4-14 with a 6.68 ERA and Heaney hasn’t been much better in 2025. Look for runs to be scored early and often.
