NBA Player Props and Best Bets: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Payton Pritchard & More Picks for Wednesday, March 4

Don’t worry, the week is halfway over, and I’ve rounded up my picks for the best player props in the NBA for Wednesday’s games.

Anthony Edwards torched the Memphis Grizzlies for 41 points, six rebounds, and five steals in last night’s win for the Minnesota Timberwolves, while Devin Vassell went for 22 points as the San Antonio Spurs beat the Philadelphia 76ers by 40 points on the road.

Tonight’s slate starts with a bank as the Oklahoma City Thunder will visit the New York Knicks in a matchup between championship contenders. The red-hot Charlotte Hornets will also get to test themselves against the second-place team in the Eastern Conference, the Boston Celtics.

Here are my best NBA player prop picks and bets for Wednesday, March 4.

Best NBA Player Props Today 2026 03 04 Thunder Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 30.5 Points (-106) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Gilgeous-Alexander scored at least 33 points in four matchups with the New York Knicks dating back to the beginning of the 2023-24 season. Although he has not seen the Knicks this season, he split the over under in four games since returning from an injury, and he scored 30 points in three of those four instances.

The reigning MVP averaged 31.8 points per game while sitting out a ton of fourth quarters. I don’t expect the Thunder to blow the Knicks off the court, meaning that he should get his full load of minutes and plenty of opportunities against a defense that has a small point guard (Jalen Brunson) and a fouling machine on the interior (Karl-Anthony Towns).

Payton Pritchard Under 5.5 Assists (-130) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Pritchard is having a great season, averaging 17.1 points, 5.4 assists, and 4.1 rebounds for the C’s, helping them overcome the absence of Jayson Tatum. He also went under this line in four of his last five games and is about to face a Hornet defense that ranked second in assists allowed per game over their last 10 contests.

The Celtics and Hornets played at two of the three slowest paces in the league during that same 10-game stretch, suggesting that this will be a low-possession game. The Hornets found success against some of the top teams in the league recently, and I expect them to be up for the challenge against Boston.

Benedict Mathurin Over 19.5 Points (-108) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Mathurin and the Los Angeles Clippers are preparing to take on the Indiana Pacers, the team that traded him for Ivica Zubac ahead of the deadline. He enters the matchup having gone under in three straight games and scored 18.8 points per game in his new threads.

Mathurin has been horribly inefficient in LA, shooting 40.2 percent from the floor and 17.2 percent from three. However, he’s been ultra-aggressive, taking 7.5 free throws per game, and I expect him to take every shot available to him in an obvious spot for revenge.

Jonathan Kuminga Over 5.5 Rebounds (-106) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Kuminga has only played two games for the Atlanta Hawks since being traded by the Golden State Warriors, but he logged nine and seven rebounds in 27.5 average minutes. He now gets to see a Milwaukee Bucks squad that was right around league-average in rebounds allowed per game over the last few weeks.

A 34-point blowout win resulted in Kuminga only playing 25 minutes in his last game, but I expect him to be at or above 30 in a closer game. Giannis Antetokounmpo is back in the Bucks’ lineup, but he can’t win the battle on the boards on his own, and Kuminga looks full of energy now that he’s in a new location.

Quentin Grimes Under 2.5 Threes (-128) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Grimes was afforded more possible playing time recently with VJ Edgecombe and Kelly Oubre Jr. both being unavailable, yet he only played 22 minutes against the San Antonio Spurs, below his season average. He could still play 25-30 tonight, but that’s only half of the battle.

The 25-year-old went under this line in 21 of his last 23 games and only shot 34.8 percent from three, one of the worst marks of his career. The Utah Jazz are horrible on defense, but they climbed to 18th in made threes allowed per game over the last few weeks, which is a substantial improvement for them.
