Pacers vs. Knicks Prediction Odds

Indiana Pacers vs. New York Knicks Betting Pick

The Indiana Pacers were excellent in the conference semifinals, while the New York Knicks had a hard time before their opponents lost a key piece to injury. However, in this head-to-head matchup, the Knicks have had the edge. A stronger defensive unit that is equally athletic to the Pacers, the Knicks took the edge in the season series with a +19.0 points differential in two victories. Brunson versus Haliburton will be the matchup to watch, but star sidekicks Karl-Anthony Towns and Pascal Siakam won’t go unnoticed.

Indiana Pacers Preview

While the Indiana Pacers weren’t high on the list of Conference Finals favorites, they exceeded expectations once again. After an impressive five-game series win over the Cavaliers, the Pacers look to earn another upset victory over the Knicks. Their offense, pace, and ball movement have been staples of their success, powered by the play of Tyrese Haliburton.

The Pacers went 1-2 against the Knicks through the regular season but hope to avenge that record in the Eastern Conference Finals. Their offense was potent as ever, averaging 115.0 points on 49.6% shooting, but they couldn’t find their range, shooting just 30.8% from three. Notably, their defense struggled against New York, allowing their opponents to shoot 53.9% through three games. If they can sort out their defense on Wednesday night, Indiana has the tools to steal home court advantage.

Indiana owns the most egalitarian offense in the postseason, but their undisputed leader is Tyrese Haliburton. Haliburton averaged 17.4 points and 7.0 assists per game in the second round on a hyper-efficient 54.4% shooting. Pascal Siakam led the Pacers in the scoring department, putting up 17.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game. They had six players averaging double-digit scoring against the Cavaliers last round, so expect another team effort in the East Finals.

The Pacers were among the bottom half of the NBA against the spread this season, posting a 43-46-3 ATS Record, 17th in the NBA. They have a 48.3% cover percentage, a +2.6 margin of victory, and a +0.6 ATS +/- this season.

Regarding the Indiana Pacers injury report, (C) Isaiah Jackson (Achilles) is out for the season.

New York Knicks Preview

Wednesday night promises to be a rambunctious affair at Madison Square Garden. The New York Knicks have reached the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in 25 years. As if destined, they face their foe from 25 years ago, the Indiana Pacers. Jalen Brunson will lead his Knicks in Game 1 of what they hope will be a stepping stone to the NBA Finals.

The Knicks had the advantage over the Pacers this regular season, winning the season series 2-1. Their offense was unstoppable, averaging 124.0 points per contest on 53.9% from the field and 36.7% from three-point range. Their ability to get to the rim and the free-throw line 26.3 times per game was the difference maker. When they face the Pacers on Wednesday, expect New York to establish their game from the inside out.

Jalen Brunson is the man to watch for the Knicks on Wednesday night. He’s coming off a strong series, averaging 26.2 points, 7.2 assists, and 3.0 threes per game on 44.5% front the field and 39.1% from three. But Karl-Anthony Towns will be the difference maker, especially on the glass, averaging 19.8 points and 12.7 rebounds in his conference finals series against Boston. Role players like Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby are under the spotlight, as their highs and lows have been central to New York’s success this postseason.

One of the best teams against the spread this season, the New York Knicks have posted a 48-45-1 ATS Record, fifth-best in the league. They have a 51.6% cover percentage, a +3.7 margin of victory, and a -0.4 ATS +/- this season. In their last series, the Knicks covered the spread four times, won outright four times, and hit over the total twice.

The New York Knicks have no current injuries.
