Denver led the NFL with 66 Sacks
The Bills' run defense ranks 30th in YPC average
Josh Allen had 14 rushing TDs during the season, and two last week
The NFL’s Divisional Round weekend will kick off on Saturday with a matchup between the Buffalo Bills and the AFC West champion Denver Broncos. While Buffalo dismantled Denver in last year’s playoffs, the expectations are far different heading into this weekend. The Broncos will have payback on their minds, leading to some fantastic options for same-game parlays.

Simply put, we don’t believe the Bills have the offensive weapons to beat Denver’s defense. Denver finished the season ranked second in yards (278.2) and third in scoring (18.3), thanks in part to leading the league with 68 sacks.
Denver’s ability to generate pressure will keep Josh Allen uncomfortable all game. We saw the quarterback throw the ball well against the Jags last week, but the Bills' offensive line kept the pass rush in check. Jacksonville managed only 18 pressures, resulting in just one sack.
While the Bills' offensive line was strong last week, that hasn’t been the case for much of the season. Josh Allen has been sacked 40 times, which is the seventh most in the NFL. We expect the Broncos to test them early and often, negating much of Allen’s talent. With Buffalo lacking playmaking pass-catchers, the offense will shut down.
The Bills' defense has been unreliable all season, including last week. They allowed 24 points on 359 yards, while allowing the Jags to convert over half of their third-down attempts. A pair of interceptions bailed the unit out, allowing Buffalo to steal a close road win.
These two teams met in the playoffs last season, with the Broncos losing 31-7. However, that game took place in Buffalo against a far better Bills team and featured Bo Nix in his first playoff game. With another year of experience and a vastly improved Denver team, we expect them to have their revenge this weekend.

The rookie running back is far from a finished product, but he has shown flashes of why the Broncos took him in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
While he finished the season in a slight slump, Harvey will be facing a Bills defense that has struggled to stop the run. They finished the regular season ranking twenty-eighth in rushing yards per game (136.2) and thirtieth in YPC average (5.1).
The Bills' woes in their run defense continued into the postseason last week. They allowed the Jags to rush an average of 6.7 YPC for 154 yards. Jacksonville’s backfield is better than Denver’s, but not enough to negate Buffalo’s weakness.
With JK Dobbins set to possibly return as soon as next week, expect Harvey to step up and shine in what could be his final game as the starter.

One stat we haven’t touched on from the Bills' Wild Card win was the play of James Cook. The NFL’s leading rusher has been fantastic all season, but delivered a dud against the Jags last week. He averaged just 3.1 YPC for 46 yards, with 11 of those coming from one carry.
While the poor performance can be attributed to the Jags' impressive run defense, he’ll face an equally dangerous foe this weekend. They finished ranked second in yards per game (91.1) and third in YPC (3.9), giving us confidence they can contain Cook.
With Cook’s production limited, Josh Allen will be using his legs often against the Broncos. The quarterback had 14 rushing touchdowns during the season, which is more than most running backs. His success on the ground continued last weekend, where he scored twice on the ground.
