The Rams beat the Cardinals on Dec. 7, 45-17
Matthew Stafford had 281 yards and three TDs in the last matchup
The Cardinals are 29th in points allowed per game, and the Rams' defense slumped recently
The Los Angeles Rams will host the Arizona Cardinals for an NFC West rivalry matchup in the final week of the 2025 NFL regular season.
The Cardinals have played some of the worst football in the league during their eight-game losing streak, spurred largely by their miserable defense. Despite that, veteran backup Jacoby Brissett has enjoyed a resurgence, producing strong box scores and having 21 touchdowns to seven interceptions in only 11 starts.
On the other side, the Rams are still reeling from their Monday Night Football loss to the Atlanta Falcons. The result dropped Matthew Stafford behind Drake Maye in NFL MVP odds, and the once-Super Bowl favorite Rams behind the Seattle Seahawks, who are now the oddsmakers’ top pick to hoist the Lombardi Trophy.

Brissett, 33, is 15th in the NFL in passing yards and 16th in passing touchdowns despite missing five starts. To put this in perspective, if he had started every game and kept his current trajectory, he would’ve thrown the third-most touchdowns in the entire league (31), only trailing Stafford and Jared Goff.
The Rams’ defense was dynamite for the majority of the season, but it plummeted to 25th in EPA per play since Week 13. They allowed 27, 38, and 34 points in their last three games, and Brissett had two touchdown passes when they met a month ago. Plus, Brissett cashed the over in nine of his 11 starts.

The headlines will describe this matchup as Stafford’s MVP reclamation project, but the reality is that the Rams could easily pull their starters early if they are up big, seeing as they are locked into the Wild Card with a win or a loss.
Stafford went for 281 yards and three touchdowns when these teams played a month ago, and he went over in three of his last four. That said, there’s no need for the Rams to be too aggressive in this matchup, since they are clearly the superior team, and they have their sights set on a Super Bowl, not Week 18 glory.

While Brissett has put up impressive numbers, that’s partly been motivated by the Cardinals’ terrible running game. Carter only beat this line three times all season, and he only averaged 7.1 carries per game. He also had seven carries for 29 yards in last weekend’s loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Rams rank 13th in rushing yards allowed per game at 112.8, and the Cardinals will likely be playing from behind. That means more passes for Brissett, fewer rushes for Carter, and a strong chance of him cashing the under.

This is quietly one of my favorite value prop picks of Week 18. Stafford threw at least one touchdown to a tight end in four straight games, the last two weeks belonging to Terrance Ferguson, and the two before that (three touchdowns total) going to Parkinson.
I mentioned that the Rams don’t have to be aggressive - that could mean running the ball and using 12 and 13 personnel to set up play-action passes to tight ends, particularly in the red zone, while Davante Adams is out. Parkinson has six receiving touchdowns on the year, which is second among all Rams players not named Davante (Puka Nacua is first with nine).
