Go for a Chelsea victory on Sunday. Crystal Palace are in poor form at the moment and the Blues can take advantage by triumphing at Stamford Bridge.

Liam Rosenior has won three of his first four games in charge of Chelsea, but the jury remains out on the former defender. A 5-1 thumping of Charlton Athletic in the third round of the FA Cup must be caveated with reference to the fact their opponents are a second-tier side, while Chelsea were slightly fortunate in a 2-0 victory over Brentford last weekend.
In between those two matches, Chelsea were beaten by another London team, as Arsenal ran out 3-2 winners at Stamford Bridge in the first leg of the EFL Cup semi-final. There is no shame in being edged out by the best team in England, but at the same time Rosenior has not yet done enough to assuage the doubts of the Chelsea supporters.
Enzo Maresca was not universally loved by those fans, but they had grown to respect him after he led Chelsea to Club World Cup and Conference League glory, as well as a top-four finish in the Premier League, in his first campaign at the helm. When he departed west London around the turn of the year, Chelsea supporters turned their ire on the club's owners.
That could work against Rosenior. Having previously coached Chelsea's sister club, Strasbourg, he is very much a company man. He is a young and inexperienced coach, not a proven winner like former Chelsea bosses such as Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti, Antonio Conte and Thomas Tuchel.
Rosenior deserves time to prove his worth at Stamford Bridge, but a poor end to the season would put him under pressure already. Two points off the top four, Chelsea still have plenty to play for this term. Given the fans’ dissatisfaction with the way their club is being run, Rosenior cannot afford for his side to slide down the standings.

What a week it has been for Crystal Palace. The drama began last Friday, when Oliver Glasner confirmed that captain Marc Guehi was on his way to Manchester City, before making a shock announcement that he would not he signing a new contract at the club and would therefore leave in the summer.
Just over 24 hours later, after Palace extended their winless run to 10 matches in all competitions with a 2-1 loss to Sunderland, Glasner went nuclear. He accused the board of “abandoning” him and his players by failing to add more players to the squad. It was an astonishing outburst which surely meant only one thing - the sack.
Yet to the surprise of everyone, the axe did not fall. The chairman Steve Parish decided to take a deep breath and wait it out. He then concluded that Glasner should stay until the end of the season.
Perhaps that is because it would have cost him to fire Glasner. Now, if a club wants him before the summer, they will have to pay. Or perhaps Parish believes, despite his comments, that Glasner is the best man to deliver a successful second half of the campaign.
Time will tell whether Parish’s decision was a mistake or a masterstroke. If Palace’s form improves and they start to climb the table, it will have been a wise move. But there is a very real danger that the situation unravels and becomes too toxic for Glasner to remain.
There was more bad news on Wednesday, as reports stated that Jean-Philippe Mateta wants to leave the club this month. The France international has had an iffy season, with his wayward finishing a major source of frustration for Palace, but he has nevertheless been a key figure for the club in recent times. When it rains, it pours.

Crystal Palace are hoping to welcome back Daniel Munoz and Daichi Kamada this weekend, but it would be a surprise if either player was deemed fit enough to start. That leaves Palace with the same 11 players, many of whom are visibly fatigued, who started against Sunderland.
Palace have at least had a full week to prepare for this fixture, whereas Chelsea were in action in the Champions League in midweek. Even so, Glasner's side are in poor form and their home record is not as impressive as you might imagine.
Chelsea are likely to prove too strong on Sunday. That does not mean they will have everything their own way. Brentford did not manage to find the back of the net last weekend, but they showed that it is eminently possible to create chances against this Chelsea defense.
Overall, though, the Blues have more quality at their disposal than Palace and they can capitalize on all the recent turmoil at Selhurst Park. There is also a danger that the home crowd will make their frustrations with Glasner known if things do not go well. Go for an away win in this meeting between two London teams.
