The Indiana Fever offense clearly missed Caitlin Clark last night. There isn’t an injury listed for any of the four teams playing tonight that could have a similar impact. Between the four teams, there are a number of intriguing WNBA Player Props for tonight’s games.
We’ve New York hosting Golden State a couple of days after demolishing the Valkyries by 28 points. Then we have a winless Chicago Sky team looking for its first win while hosting the Dallas Wings (who recently recorded their first win).
I am a little concerned that she could get pulled early in this one with the game well in hand. Three of New York’s four wins have been blowouts; she did not play more than 27 minutes in any of them, but in a close game vs. Indiana she played 36.
But her two games with 20+ points came in blowout wins where she played 27 minutes. I don’t expect a similar performance this time around and wouldn’t be shocked if someone else was the focus of the offense.
However, the plus money odds pique my interest and Stewart can score 20 Points vs. Golden State in her sleep.
Cloud only had five points in the Tuesday game. But she also shot an uncharacteristic 2-9 from the floor and didn’t go to the foul line once. She recorded 22, 18, and 16 points in the other three games, making it look like the 5-point night was an anomaly.
Cloud recorded 10 in the previous game vs. Golden State and has had 7.5+ in three of New York’s four games (she had six vs. Indiana). She’s averaging 8.3 per game and should be able to match that against the Valkyries.
Teams are averaging 21.5 assists per game against Golden State (No. 10 in the league).
Dallas is a decent rebounding team, but she is the best rebounder in the league (avg. 14 per game). She had 17 in Chicago’s opener and 15 in their last game (May 27) with a pair of 12 rebound games. But this will be Chicago’s best shot at a win all season.
Reese will bring her ‘A’ game and dominate the boards in this contest like she often does.
Scoring points is not typically her thing, but Reese had 13 points in her last two games (12 and 2 in the others). She’ll be facing a Dallas team that does not play great defense and will be trying to run up the score themselves.
If the Sky was playing almost any other team, I’d probably pass on this one. But since they are playing a team that is defensively challenged and the market comes with plus-money odds, I’m taking the OVER.
This game is a perfect time for Bueckers to spread her wings a little bit, much like the last game Dallas played (vs. Connecticut). That is probably why her point total got bumped to 15.5+ after being set at 14.5 in the other games.
But there is no reason for alarm. Bueckers rolled to 21 points vs. the Sun after hitting eight of ten shots from the floor. It would be unrealistic to expect her to shoot just as well this time. If she doesn’t, that’s okay. She’ll still shoot the ball enough to go OVER 15.5 points.
