There are days when it’s easy to target the top home run hitters in baseball for prop bets. On Wednesday, we ended up targeting the teammates of those players. Instead of Cal Raleigh, Aaron Judge, and Eugenio Suarez, we’re targeting their teammates to go yard. It’s an unusual twist, but one we believe provides plenty of value.

With Judge sidelined by injury, Stanton is the ideal player on the Yankees to step up as a power hitter. He’s done just that, hitting three homers in his last six games. Stanton also has nine total hits in his last seven games, so he’s in a good spot, especially after getting a full day off on Tuesday.
Stanton is also poised to go deep on Wednesday because the Yankees are facing Zack Littell, who leads the majors in home runs allowed. Of the 26 homers Littell has allowed, 18 have come on the road, which is surprising but true. Despite never facing Stanton before, Littell could easily serve up a long ball against him on Wednesday.

Raleigh might be leading the majors in homers, but Rodriguez is the better bet on Wednesday against Jeffrey Springs and the A’s. Rodriguez is 3 for 9 with a home run in his career against Springs. He’s also hit 14 of his 18 home runs this season on the road, and playing in a Triple-A ballpark should only make it easier to continue that trend.
Likewise, Rodriguez has been far more dangerous against lefties, slugging .500 when facing southpaws this season. Naturally, 17 of the 20 homers Springs has allowed have been hit by right-handed hitters. Springs has also allowed at least one home run in six of his last seven starts, including multiple home runs in two of his last five starts, so the odds are good that a right-handed slugger like Rodriguez can take him deep on Wednesday.

While Suarez has garnered most of the attention, don’t forget that Marte has hit 20 homers this season. He’s also 6 for 15 during his current four-game hitting streak. Despite not hitting any extra-base hits during that stretch, Marte is feeling good at the plate right now.
Plus, Marte is 7 for 15 in his career against Chris Paddack, who makes his debut for the Tigers on Wednesday. Paddack has been homer-prone this year, giving up 17 long balls, most of which have been hit by left-handed hitters, which favors the switch-hitting Marte.

Rutschman just returned from the IL on Monday, but he’s come back on fire. In his first two games back, he’s 4 for 9 with three doubles. The kicker is that he has a great track record against Jose Berrios, who starts for the Blue Jays. Rutschman is 15 for 28 with four home runs and two doubles in his career against Berrios.
Such a track record can’t be ignored, as Rutschman hammers Berrios every time he sees him. Berrios has also been plagued by the long ball this year, especially during day games. He’s allowed 10 homers in eight day starts and just seven homers in 14 night starts. That also makes Rutschman a good pick for Wednesday’s matinee.
