There is an argument that Teoscar Hernandez has been the Dodgers’ most important postseason bat in 2025. The former Mariners slugger is batting .333 with three home runs and nine RBIs.
We believe Hernandez’s hot start to the postseason will continue today. That’s due to his improved strikeout total, which was one of the lowest of his career. Some of that can be attributed to some time on the IL, but he was still on pace to post his lowest. Improved discipline is crucial in the postseason as he faces some of the league’s top pitchers.
Speaking of the MLB’s top pitchers, the Phillies will have Cristopher Sanchez (13-5, 2.50 ERA, 1.06 WHIP) starting tonight. He was solid against LA in Game 1, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over 5 ⅔ innings. Hernandez would homer in the game, though that came after Sanchez had exited.
While Hernandez struck out twice against Sanchez, but still owns a .333 average with two home runs against the impressive starter.

Harper is coming off a big Game 3 performance that saw him thrive in LA. He went 2-4 with a double, a walk, and a run scored. He has not gone deep over his first three postseason games, but has 17 over 56 career playoff games.
Harper and the Phillies will be facing Tyler Glasnow (4-3, 3.19 ERA, 1.10 WHIP) to start today’s game. He threw in 1 ⅔ shutout innings of work in Game 1, but allowed two hits and two walks. We believe he got lucky to avoid any damage, which signals that his postseason woes may not be over. Over 11 career playoff games, he has posted a 5.51 ERA, 1.52 WHIP, and 10 home runs allowed.
While Harper has not homered off Glasnow over 12 at-bats, he does own a .333 average with a double, triple, and two RBIs.

The pitching matchups are still undecided for this Game 4 matchup between these two NL Central rivals. That has us looking solely at the hitters involved in today’s game, and Andrew Vaughn stands out from the rest.
The former White Sox first baseman didn’t start last night, as the Crew decided to roll out the left-handed Jake Bauers. While the move worked out after Bauer's massive game, many fans still questioned the tactic of benching the fan favorite slugger, especially after he launched a three-run home run in Game 2.
Vaughn made great contact last night in a pinch-hit appearance, showing he is still approaching the plate with a ton of confidence. We believe that a full game of work, as well as the added pressure of the situation, will lead the big man to thrive.
