LA Galaxy vs Houston Dynamo: Predictions, Odds and Roster Notes

There are a lot of great games on the week 8 MLS docket, and we’re looking forward to watching this one between Houston and Los Angeles to kick off the weekend.

Will the Galaxy be able to move up in the rankings, or will Houston leap over them after Friday night’s game?

How to Watch

What: LA Galaxy vs Houston Dynamo

Where: StubHub Tennis Center in Carson California

When: Friday April 19th @ 11 PM EST

How: MLS Live ESPN, MLS Live DAZN, UniMax, Twitter

Houston Dynamo (away)

Head Coach: Wilmer Cabrera

Key Players: Memo Rodriguez, Mauro Manotas, Alberth Elis, Joe Willis

Standings: 4-1-0 (5th Western Conference)

Houston is coming into Friday nights match undefeated, but they will be facing off with a team that is looking to score its fifth straight win.

This is a squad that has had trouble scoring at times, and if they want to walk out of Carson with a victory they are going to have to figure out a way to put the ball in the net multiple times.

Expect to see the offense in attack mode from the outset.

LA Galaxy (home)

Head Coach: Guillermo Barros Schelotto

Key Players: Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Daniel Steres, Rolf Feltscher, David Bingham

Standings: 5-0-1 (3rd Western Conference)

After their 2-0 win over the Philadelphia Union Los Angeles is looking to extend their winning streak to five games.

As Houston is one of the better teams in the league, it’s not going to be an easy task.

Look for Zlatan to continue being aggressive and keep landing the ball in the net for Los Angeles. If he can continue his hot start to the season, you can expect Los Angeles to come up with yet another victory.

Odd and Predictions<!--2-->

Last year Houston shocked LA with a 3-2 victory after being down by two goals early on (knocking the Galaxy of MLS Cup contention).

I’m sure they’ll still have that memory in the back of their minds going into the match Friday night in Carson.

We’ll see if LA can use that as fuel to get their fifth straight victory.
