Some of the WNBA’s best will be taking the court tonight as the Indiana Fever face the Dream in Atlanta and the New York Liberty will play the Sky in Chicago, leaving fans with quite a few intriguing WNBA player props to choose from tonight.
Caitlin Clark went OVER her point total for the second consecutive game when these two played on Tuesday. Angel Reese easily cleared the OVER on her rebound total in the opener vs. the Fever. But it will not be easy to do against the defending champs.
Clark has been getting the job done with a triple-double (20/10/10) in the season opener and a double-double in the second game. But with her total up another point to 22.5, can bettors count on her to do it again?
Against a team like Atlanta—yes. The Dream has the lowest defensive rating in the WNBA and is giving up an average of 92 points per game. Now, the only problem is a good one for the Fever—they have quite a few solid scoring threats.
But everyone comes to see Caitlin Clark; she’ll get her shots.
Teams are hitting close to 50% from three-point range against Atlanta this season; Clark went 5-11 last time (the team was 8-17). She has been in the zone from behind the arc the last couple of games, shooting 47.4%.
If there is one thing we know for certain, it’s that Clark, like any good shooter, will take her shots. She averaged right around nine per game last year and 9.5 so far this season (4-8 and 5-11). If she gets open looks, she’ll hit at least four once again.
Boston averaged 14.5 and 154 points per game her first two seasons in the league. But in the opener, she put up 19 and followed that up with 24 points against Atlanta. Unless there is a reason why the Dream defense will be better tonight, Boston will score 14.5+ points.
Boston has been a solid rebounder since entering the league, averaging 8.4 per game as a rookie and 8.9 last year. So far, this season, she has pulled down 13 and 10. There is a solid chance she slips and only pulls down eight or nine, but at +116, this market has value.
This total feels a little high. Reese cleared 13.5 rebounds just once in four games vs. New York last season. But she also averaged 13.1 per game, and we certainly know she is capable of pulling down 14 boards on any given night.
She did just that in 14 games last season and got 2025 started off right with 17 against Indiana. Yes, it’s a high total, but until someone slows her down, I’m taking the OVER for Angel Reese’s rebound total every time.
It will be a little more challenging to bet on point totals for Liberty this year. Why? Because with the addition of Cloud and Jewel Loyd to a lineup that includes Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu, New York has four players capable of going off for 20+ points a night.
While it is great to have so many solid shooters, there are only so many shots to go around. In Game 1, it was Cloud and Stewart with 20+ while Ionescu had eight and Loyd 17. I do not expect Cloud to score 20+ tonight, but I expect her to go OVER 10.5 points.
