Best WNBA Prop Bets Today August 15

Wednesday is going to be a busy night in the WNBA with four games scheduled to take place, starting with the Sun hosting the Sky at 7 p.m. EST and ending with the Dream facing the Storm. With the matchups on deck, it should be a great night for betting on WNBA Player Props.

Chicago Sky star Angel Reese is considered day-to-day with a back injury, but there is no indication that she is close to returning. So, the rebound leader may be out, but there are plenty of great WNBA Player Prop markets available to bettors. Let’s talk about some of them.

Washington Mystics vs. Indiana Fever

Kelsey Mitchell, OVER 20.5 Points (-110) at FanDuel

At first glance, I was a bit apprehensive about taking the OVER. Her season average is 20 points per game, but Mitchell has been averaging 19.4 ppg since the break. However, she has gone OVER 20.5 points in her last two (both home games) and three of her last four.

She’s been held UNDER this TOTAL three times since the break, twice vs. a good Phoenix defense (once at home). With a demanding schedule ahead, the Fever must win the games they should win, like this one. A solid night from Mitchell will go a long way toward that goal.

She will not let the hometown fans down.

Golden State Valkyries vs. Chicago Sky

Tiffany Hayes, OVER 19.5 Pts + Reb + Ast (-120) at FanDuel

Golden State is not a strong offensive team, but Hayes is the leading scorer since the break with 14 points per game (tied with Janelle Saluan). She’s gone OVER this TOTAL in her last four games. It will certainly help that she’ll be facing the Chicago Sky, one of the worst defenses in the WNBA.

Los Angeles Sparks vs. Dallas Wings

Paige Bueckers, OVER 19.5 Points (-110) at FanDuel

Bueckers is averaging 18.4 points per game this season, but has been scoring 20 ppg at home since the break. I’d hesitate to take this OVER if the Wings were facing anyone else. But the Sparks have been allowing 90+ points per game since the break (89.8 on the road).

This game will likely be a track meet with players from both teams scoring early and often.

Seattle Storm vs. Atlanta Dream

Rhyne Howard, OVER 2.5 Made Threes (+114) at FanDuel

She made five of 12 Wednesday night when the Dream took on the Storm in Seattle. With this game in Atlanta and the Storm allowing a WNBA-worst 39% from behind the arc on the road, it’s a little surprising that this market has plus-money odds this high.

She’ll probably take at least ten shots and make three.

Naz Hillmon, OVER 7.5 Rebounds (-148) at FanDuel

One of the many players key to Atlanta’s recent success has been Naz Hillmon. She’s the betting favorite for 6th player of the year, but she’s been in the starting lineup for the last five games. In those games, she went OVER this TOTAL in each with a low of eight and high of 13 (2x).

Hillmon pulled down six vs. the Storm on July 3 when she played 24 minutes off the bench. But Wednesday night in Seattle, she pulled down eight in 35 minutes (as a starter).

Las Vegas Aces vs. Phoenix Mercury

A’ja Wilson, OVER 33.5 Pts + Reb (-108) at FanDuel

Wilson’s play since the break has been reminiscent of last season’s success, where she put up monster numbers almost every night. Since the break, she’s averaged 21.5 points and 10.8 rebounds per game, but has gone OVER this TOTAL in three of her last four games.

She had 26 points and 18 rebounds vs. the Mercury in Phoenix on June 29. While the Mercury would be the No. 4 seed if the playoffs started today, they’ve been trending in the wrong direction while Wilson and the Aces are on the rise.
