If you are wondering why her total is set higher than her season average (15.5 points per game), it’s because she has been on a roll. Citron put up 19 in her last game vs. the Sun (Tuesday), 24 vs. the Sparks (Aug. 17), and 21 vs. the Fever (Aug 15). In August, she’s gone OVER in five of eight games.

There could be one potential hiccup. While the Sun has one of the worst defenses in the league this season, they haven’t been half bad this month. They average 81.2 points per game allowed, fifth best in the league.

However, the Mystics are still in the playoff hunt, but they can’t afford to lose a winnable game like this. That need will give Citron and the Mystics an edge.

Chicago Sky vs. New York Liberty

Sabrina Ionescu, OVER 2.5 Made Threes (+146) at FanDuel

Ionescu is undoubtedly capable of hitting a trio of three pointers on any given night, but there is one problem—she’s streaky.  Fortunately, she may be on the verge of starting another streak after hitting four of ten attempts vs. Minnesota and 2-7, 3-9, and 2-4.

Against a bad Chicago defense allowing almost ten made threes per game, this prop has a ton of value.

Minnesota Lynx vs. Atlanta Dream

Rhyne Howard, OVER 2.5 Made Threes (+110) at FanDuel

This prop has been one of my favorite picks lately, and while part of me hesitates to dip back into the same well over and over, another part of me can’t stay away from such a great value play. Howard will take her shots (9.6 attempts per game this season; 8.0 since coming back from injury).

She has gone OVER this TOTAL in her last two games and three of her last five. In the two games where she didn’t, she only took four and five shots. As long as she takes 8+ shots, she’ll make OVER 2.5 of them.

Britney Griner, OVER 8.5 Points (-135) at bet365

Griner scored 22 and 16 earlier in the season vs. Minnesota and has gone OVER this total in three of her last four. Now, she’s coming off the bench, so her minutes will be somewhat limited. But if Collier is out, she creates an advantage for Atlanta in the paint.

If she plays 20+ minutes, she’ll go OVER this total if Collier is out. If Collier is in, take the UNDER.

A'ja Wilson, OVER 36.5 Pts + Reb (-108) at FanDuel

Wilson is averaging 22.9/10 for the season, but has been playing above and beyond her season averages lately. She scored 30+ in four of her last five games, pulled down 12+ rebounds in five of her last six, and went OVER this TOTAL in five of her last six games.

The one game where she didn’t, she had 17 points and 16 rebounds, which was OVER the line for that game (32.5). Wilson is back in MVP-caliber form; too late to win the award, but not too late to win bettors some money.
