Chelsea vs. Barcelona

Both Teams to Score in the Second Half (+150) at bet365

Chelsea and Barcelona are currently outside the top eight, so both teams will be particularly keen to win this clash at Stamford Bridge. These sides drew 1-1 when they last faced off in 2018, with Willian and Lionel Messi both striking in the second half. We anticipate something similar here.

Barcelona’s games tend to be high-scoring and the Catalans’s attacking unit will cause Chelsea’s backline plenty of issues, especially as time goes on. Yet there are question marks over Barcelona’s defence and Chelsea scored five times in their last home European game. Goals at both ends from minutes 46 to 90 is the way to go.

Arsenal vs. Bayern Munich

Over 2.5 Goals (-138) at bet365

Arsenal are second in the Champions League table and Bayern Munich are first heading into this must-watch clash at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners are yet to concede in the competition this season, while Bayern are joint-top scorers with 14 goals to their name. This is a game between an immovable object and an irresistible force.

Arsenal are rock-solid defensively but they will struggle to keep a clean sheet against a Bayern side that has been scoring goals for fun on all fronts. But Vincent Kompany’s men will be tested themselves - indeed, this is arguably their hardest game of the season to date. Goals are on the cards in this one.

Atletico Madrid vs. Inter

Draw (+250) at bet365

Inter are the third team, along with Arsenal and Bayern Munich, who boast a 100 percent record so far. Runners-up last season, the Nerazzurri intend to go far this year too, although it should be pointed out that their fixtures have been relatively kind up to now. A trip to Atletico Madrid is a sterner examination of Inter’s credentials.

Atletico have lost away to Liverpool and Arsenal so far, but they have won two out of two on home turf. Diego Simeone’s side are a tough nut to crack in front of their own supporters, but Inter have a good balance to them and they are capable of getting something in the Spanish capital.

PSG vs. Tottenham Hotspur

Both Teams to Score (-150) at bet365

Tottenham Hotspur turned in a creditable performance even when they lost to Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Super Cup. PSG triumphed on penalties, but Spurs were 2-1 up before the European champions scored a late equalizer. It has been a mixed bag for the north Londoners since then, but Thomas Frank’s team tend to be better away from home.

PSG are clear favourites to win this match at the Parc des Princes. They have more quality at their disposal than Tottenham, so a home win is the most likely outcome. From a betting perspective, though, both teams to score looks like a solid selection. Tottenham will give PSG something to think about on the counter-attack.

Olympiacos vs. Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappe to Score Two or More (+225)

Real Madrid suffered a setback in their last Champions League encounter, going down 1-0 to Liverpool at Anfield. The Blancos will be keen to bounce back when they return to continental action this week. Olympiacos, who have just two points to their name at present, will be up against it when they take on Xabi Alonso’s team.

Madrid’s squad is stacked with talent, but Kylian Mbappe is first among equals. The France international is having a fine season at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, and with five goals in four Champions League games he is second in the scoring charts. Mbappe can notch a brace against Olympiacos.

Borussia Dortmund vs. Villarreal

Borussia Dortmund to Win (-143) at bet365

Borussia Dortmund have won two, drawn one and lost one of their four games up to now, while Villarreal have collected just one point from the first 12 available. The Yellow Submarine need to get their first win on the board as soon as possible if they are to extend their involvement in the competition beyond the league phase.

However, they are rightly considered the underdogs for this clash at Signal Iduna Park. Dortmund have become a more disciplined outfit under Niko Kovac, and with home advantage on their side they should come out on top in this one.
