The Lions are 1-1 after putting up 52 points in Week 2 in a win over the Bears.
The Ravens are averaging 40.5 points per game this season.
Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers has a staggering 42.6% team target share.
To close out Week 3 of the NFL season, the Baltimore Ravens are hosting the Detroit Lions. These two teams were phenomenal in Week 2. The Ravens put up 41 points and the Lions posted 52. Now, through two games, the Ravens are averaging 40.5 points per game.
Both teams are 1-1 this season, and they will continue to be atop our Super Bowl odds list. Not only that, but the quarterbacks in this game, especially Baltimore’s, are always in the NFL MVP discussion.

While the Lions didn’t look good in Week 1, putting up just 13 points on the road against the Green Bay Packers, they rebounded strongly in Week 2, beating the Bears 52-21.
In that game, quarterback Jared Goff had five touchdown passes. Now, he’s completing over 80% of his throws.
The Ravens' defense surrenders over 290 passing yards per game, and they allowed 272 yards in Week 2 to Cleveland Browns quarterback Joe Flacco, who’s in his 40s.
Both teams have fairly lengthy injury reports, but the Ravens’ includes cornerbacks and edge rushers.
This Lions offense is far too good to overlook in this game against a defense that’s been a bit disappointing.

To piggyback on why I’m taking the Lions +5.5, I’ll also add Goff over 267.5 passing yards.
This season, the Ravens' defence employs a mix of coverages, primarily Cover-1 and Cover-3. Against these coverages, Goff has completed 30 of 35 passes (85.7%) for 320 yards (9.14 yards per attempt) and four touchdowns.
Additionally, through the first two games, Goff is averaging 33.5 pass attempts per game.
We also have to consider that the Ravens average 40.5 points per game. If that type of offense continues, Goff will have to throw to keep pace.
I’m expecting a fairly productive afternoon from Goff as he continues to complete a high percentage of throws.

Heading into Week 3, the Lions have only pressured opposing quarterbacks on 17 of their dropbacks. That’s the fifth-least in all of the NFL.
Now, that said, when the Lions do generate pressure, it tends not to end well.
On those 17 dropbacks, opposing quarterbacks are completing just three of 10 passes for -3 yards.
That said, when Jackson isn’t pressured, he’s completed 26 of 33 passes (78.8%) for 314 yards and six touchdowns while averaging 9.5 yards per attempt.
I would like to see him pass the ball around a bit more, though. Wide receiver Zay Flowers has a stunning 42.6% target share. He also runs routes of 92.7% of Jackson's dropbacks.
That said, Jackson doesn’t need to throw for many yards, but I think, due to the lack of pressure from the Lions, he’ll be able to pass for more than usual.
