Lamar Jackson is 24-2 against NFC teams as a starter in his career
The Baltimore Ravens will host the Detroit Lions for a potential Super Bowl preview on Monday Night Football to close out Week 3, and I’ve made my best bets for the matchup.
There’s no shortage of otherworldly talents who will suit up for this contest. Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, Jahmyr Gibbs, Jared Goff, and Amon-Ra St. Brown are just a few of the superstars who will take the field in Baltimore.
Which players will stand above the rest, and which MNF odds have the best value? Here are my best picks and bets for Lions vs. Ravens on Monday Night Football in Week 3.

Jackson went for 209 yards in the season opener against the Buffalo Bills and doubled back with 225 against the Cleveland Browns. The two-time MVP is obviously capable of also throwing for much more than he has thus far, but he hasn’t needed to in order to put his team in winning positions.
The high-powered Lions offense could force Baltimore’s hand and turn them into a more explosive downfield passing offense. Jackson averaged a career-high 245.4 passing yards per game last season, while the Lions are 27th in yards allowed per pass attempt (7.1) despite winning by 31 points last weekend.

The Gibbs hype was through the roof this year after the 23-year-old ran for 1,412 yards and 16 touchdowns in his second professional season. He started the year slowly with just 19 yards on nine carries against the Green Bay Packers, but he bounced back with 94 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries against the Bears on Sunday.
The usually run-stuffing Ravens haven’t dominated the point of attack thus far, ranking right in the middle of the league in yards allowed per carry (4.2). Gibbs will always play a large role in the Lions’ offense, and Detroit’s need to keep the pedal to the metal should help him climb over this line.

Williams is a bit of a one-trick pony, said in the nicest way possible. His blazing speed makes him one of the best deep-ball threats in the league, and he already registered a 64-yard touchdown catch against the Chicago Bears last weekend.
When Williams can’t take the top off of the defense, he’s used almost more as a gadget player. The Ravens’ defense had problems defending the Buffalo Bills down the field in Week 1, but I believe they have learned from that and will make the necessary adjustments. They also don’t have to worry about the threat of the opposing quarterback, Jared Goff, taking off to run with the football.

I’ll be the first to admit that the likelihood of this bet cashing isn’t as high as the others on this list… but when Hopkins, one of the best receivers of his generation, has already scored a touchdown in the first two games of the season, there’s noticeable value on this line.
The Ravens don’t have bona fide red-zone receiving threats outside the numbers. Mark Andrews is a heavy target from the tight end position, but Hopkins has a great chance to receive some work near the goal line whenever Baltimore decides not to put the ball in Derrick Henry’s belly or keep it in the hands of Lamar Jackson.
