After a 3-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, Chelsea sit fourth in the standings. After four wins on the bounce, they have pulled clear of overachievers like Brentford, Fulham and Sunderland, as well as closing the gap on Manchester City and Aston Villa above them. Rosenior has every right to be delighted with his 100 percent record in the Premier League.

Chelsea are playing with confidence again. Wolves are the worst team in the division and will be playing in the Championship next term, but the way in which the Blues brushed them aside was still impressive. Chelsea were 3-0 up at half-time having dominated proceedings from the get-go, with Cole Palmer notching a hat-trick at Molineux to announce his return to form in style.

There are still 13 games remaining, so no one at Stamford Bridge should get carried away. In March and April, Chelsea will face Aston Villa, Arsenal, Newcastle United, Manchester City and Manchester United. Plenty could still go wrong for Rosenior’s side. Leeds United Have Put Themselves in a Fantastic Position

Leeds United also have a sense of satisfaction at the moment. The winter has been good to Daniel Farke and his side, who are now well positioned to avoid relegation. A 3-1 victory over Nottingham Forest on Friday was a major boost to their survival chances, although West Ham United’s defeat of Burnley a day later means Leeds remain only six points clear of the drop zone.

However, Leeds have momentum on their side. Ever since Daniel Farke switched to a three-man defense during a game against Manchester City in November, Leeds have looked like a different team. A few days after that defeat at the Etihad Stadium, Farke’s charges beat Chelsea 3-1 - and they have not looked back since then.

Just two of their last 12 Premier League matches have ended in defeat, and one of those losses came at the hands of title favorites Arsenal. Had the campaign started at the beginning of December, Leeds would not only be outside the bottom three but in the top half of the table. 

Some of a Leeds persuasion may be looking at the likes of Crystal Palace, Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur above them in the table, but it would be a danger to lose focus. A 17th-placed finish would still be an excellent outcome for Leeds, who should not mind how they stay up as long as they do.

Chelsea Should Get the Job Done in Front of Their Fans

Chelsea will not have everything their own way in the midweek round of Premier League fixtures. Leeds United are a tough team to beat, as their record over the last two months shows. These two sides share a historic rivalry and Leeds will be determined to make life as difficult for Chelsea as possible.
