Ilia Topuria vs. Charles Oliveira - Lightweight Championship

After former champion Islam Makhachev vacated the title to move up to the Welterweight division, UFC president Dana White announced that the belt would be decided between the next two fighters in line for a title spot; Charles Oliveira and the undefeated Ilia Topuria.

Seasoned fighter Oliveira is hoping to become a two-time UFC Lightweight champion after losing the belt to Makhachev back in October 2022. He makes his return to the octagon following a win and a unanimous decision against Michael Chandler in November 2024.

Topuria, the former Featherweight champion, has taken the world of mixed martial arts by storm, with all of his UFC fights ending in either a knockout or submission victory. Despite Oliveira having the physical prowess over Topuira, many are pitching the younger fighter to add to his already impressive resume and finish the fight as the champion.

Ilia Topuria is the current favorite and is listed at -500 at the time of writing via FanDuel.

Alexandre Pantoja vs. Kai Kara-France - Flyweight Championship

Alexandre Pantoja, the current Flyweight champion and number 10 pound-for-pound fighter in the world, will defend his title against Kai Kara-France in the octagon. Pantoja has been undefeated since 2021 and has had an impressive run as champion, with his last fight ending in a submission victory after a rear-naked choke forced his challenger Kai Asakura to tap.

You certainly can’t count Kara-France out, however, with his last fight ending in a TKO victory over Steve Erceg back in August 2024. The Kiwi, nicknamed “Don’t Blink”, is known for his explosive knockout power and will be a test for the champion.

Although Kara-France is a worthy competitor, Pantoja is expected to exit UFC 317 with the belt still around his waist, with his current odds on FanDuel being -290.

Beneil Dariush vs. Renato Moicano - Lightweight Division

Perhaps the most evenly matched fight on the card, Dariush vs. Moicano may be a sight to behold. Both fighters have similar builds and records, but very different fighting styles. The American Dariush is an established striker, whereas Brazilian Moicano is primarily trained in the art of jiu-jitsu.

Darisuh is looking to bounce back after two consecutive losses to TKO back in 2023. At the same time, Moicano is looking to redeem himself after losing to Islam Makhachev back in January, when he failed to take the lightweight title.

Moicano is hailed as the current favorite with -146 at FanDuel.

Brandon Royval vs. Joshua Van - Flyweight Division

This bout will see the youngster from Myanmar, Joshua Van, take on the Denver native Brandon Royval in a battle that will showcase differing styles. Both fighters are coming off a series of wins, with Van’s most recent success being by TKO and Royval prevailing by decision.

Currently, there is little to separate the fighters other than physical differences, with the American having an extra four inches on Van. However, age may come into play with nine years between the pair. It will be interesting to see if the more experienced fighter can trump his younger counterpart.

Both fighters are currently sitting at -113 odds at FanDuel at the time of writing, so it will be interesting to see which man has his hands raised at the end of the bout.

Payton Talbott vs. Felipe Lima - Bantamweight Division

Debuting seven months apart, Talbott and Lima both currently have only one loss in the octagon between them. The fight is expected to be an interesting one to watch, as both fighters have impressive records in their short tenures in the UFC. The American Talbott favors mixed martial arts, while the Brazilian Lima prefers to keep the fight on the ground as a striker.

Talbott enters the fight on the back of a loss to Raoni Barcelos back in January, when defeated by a unanimous decision. On the other hand, Felipe Lima is coming off a string of victories, with his only loss coming in his first fight in the UFC.

Lima is the clear favorite to win the fight and currently trades at -192 via FanDuel.
