Home Run Picks for Monday, June 23

Aaron Judge Anytime Home Run (+162) at FanDuel Sportsbook

With just one home run in his last nine games, one could say Judge is in a little bit of a slump. Of course, the Yankees didn’t score a run at all for three straight games during that stretch. Both Judge and the team seem to be moving in the right direction, so Judge is a solid target.

More importantly, he has an excellent matchup against Cincinnati’s Nick Lodolo on Monday. The lefty has allowed four home runs over his last three starts. Plus, of the 11 homers he’s conceded this year, nine have come at home, while 10 have come against right-handed hitters. That makes Judge a good target to go deep at the hitter-friendly Great American Ball Park.

Cal Raleigh Anytime Home Run (+176) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Raleigh is scorching hot right now, hitting five home runs in his last five games. He has 10 total hits in those five games, so it’s not as if he’s getting lucky on one pitch per game. Raleigh is completely locked in at the moment. That makes him a great target to keep it going on Monday.

Raleigh and the Mariners face Minnesota’s Bailey Ober, who has been plagued by the long ball all year, especially lately. Ober has allowed 14 homers this season, with seven coming in his last 17.1 innings across the three starts he’s made in June. He’s also been more vulnerable to home runs when pitching at home, giving Raleigh a good opportunity to stay hot.

Juan Soto Anytime Home Run (+350) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Soto homered on the final day of May and has proceeded to hit seven home runs thus far in June. That makes him one of the top power hitters in baseball over the last few weeks. Plus, Soto and the Mets return home on Monday. Despite its reputation, Citi Field is a haven for home runs when the weather heats up, so a heat wave is the perfect time to target Soto to homer at Citi Field.

Also, the Braves are starting Spencer Schwellenbach on Monday. Soto homered in one of his two at-bats against Schwellenbach when he started against the Mets last week. With 12 home runs allowed this season, Schwellenbach hasn’t exactly been immune to the long ball, making Soto a good option.

Mike Trout Anytime Home Run (+290) at FanDuel Sportsbook

While he may not be an MVP-level player anymore, Trout still has plenty of power. He’s hit 12 home runs this season despite missing most of May with an injury. Trout is averaging a home run every 15 at-bats, and since it’s been 14 at-bats since his last homer, Monday is a good time to target him.

Obviously, that’s a silly reason to target him, but a better one is the favorable matchup against Walker Buehler. Trout is 2 for 5 with a home run in his career against Buehler, who has allowed at least one home run in five straight starts. He’s conceded seven homers in just 18 total innings during that stretch, so a power hitter like Trout has a good chance to go deep against him.
