The Phoenix Suns and Brooklyn Nets have made headlines as of late, but they'll be facing off on Tuesday night! The Suns currently sit at fifth in the Western Conference with a 29-26 overall record and a 10-17 road record. The Nets are currently ranked fifth in the Eastern Conference with a 32-21 overall record and a 16-9 home record.
Definitely more of a defensive team with their current make-up, the Phoenix Suns hold teams to just 111.3 points per game (5th in the NBA) on 46.8% from the field (11th in the NBA). Phoenix are coming off of a 116-100 victory in their last game against the Detroit Pistons, where they were able to dominate the glass 46-30 despite giving up 16 three-pointers on 38.1% efficiency. Brooklyn are an incredibly efficient offensive team, averaging 114.4 points per game (16th in the NBA) on 50.7% efficiency (2nd in the NBA) and 39.1% three-point efficiency (2nd in the NBA). In their last game, the Brooklyn Nets lost 124-116 despite a huge 47-point night from Cam Thomas!
We're taking the Suns in this matchup. The Nets may have more firepower off the bench than expected, but their defense without their star men leading the way has been far from effective. Phoenix are looking to improve their recent 8-2 run over their last 10 games.

Both the Atlanta Hawks and New Orleans Pelicans are looking to go on a run to push them back into the upper tier of their respective conferences. The Atlanta Hawks are currently eighth in the East with a 27-27 overall record and a 14-16 road record. The New Orleans Pelicans have fallen to ninth in the Western Conference with a 28-27 overall record and an impressive 19-9 home record.
The Hawks are a dangerous scoring team, averaging 116.3 points per game (8th in the NBA) while converting on 33.4 two-point field goals per game (1st in the NBA) and committing just 12.8 turnovers per game (3rd in the NBA). Atlanta are coming off of a 128-108 loss to the Nuggets in their last game, where they allowed their opponents 50.5% shooting from the field and 15 three-pointers on 39.5% shooting. The Pelicans are a strong interior team that averages 115.5 points per game (10th in the NBA) while generating 25.9 assists per game (9th in the NBA) and 44.4 rebounds per game (9th in the NBA). They're coming off of a solid win in their last game, as they scored 136 points on 56.5% shooting from the field and 53.8% from three-point range.
We're taking the Pelicans in this matchup, despite the offensive potential of the Hawks. New Orleans is expected to have its four top scorers back in the lineup when they take on the Hawks, and their paint dominance is nothing to scoff at. Given Atlanta's recent form, expect the Pelicans to be bolstered by their returning stars.

The Chicago Bulls and Memphis Grizzlies have been trending in opposite directions, but they're on rather different ends of their respective conference standings. Chicago are currently ninth in the Eastern Conference with a 25-27 overall record and a 10-16 overall record. The Memphis Grizzlies are second in the West with a 32-21 overall record and a 21-5 home record.
One of the league's more efficient offensive teams, the Bulls average 114.6 points per game (15th in the NBA) on 49.1% from the field (5th in the NBA) and 37.1% from three (8th in the NBA). The Bulls are coming off of a win in their last game where they scored 129 points while dominating the paint to the tune of 60% shooting from the field while winning the rebounding battle 41-33. The Grizzlies are meant to be one of the league's best defensive teams, allowing teams to shoot just 45.1% from the field (1st in the NBA) while forcing 15.2 turnovers per game (8th in the NBA). They are coming off of a late game collapse in their last game, as they lost to the Toronto Raptors by getting outscored 28-17 in the fourth quarter - allowing their opponents to shoot 54.5% from the field in the final frame.
We're taking the Bulls in the upset in this matchup. The Memphis Grizzlies are in their worst run of form for the season and it doesn't project to get better with Morant and Adams still out of the lineup. Chicago are a tough team, who are incredibly effective in the paint - a place where Memphis have struggled as of late.
