NBA Player Props and Best Bets: Stephen Curry & More Picks for Tuesday, October 28

There’s another day of NBA action on the Tuesday calendar, marking the beginning of the second week of the 2025-26 season, and I’ve picked my top player props from the games.

Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe continued to flex their muscle as the future of the Philadelphia 76ers backcourt in a win over the Orlando Magic, while the San Antonio Spurs and defending-champion Oklahoma City Thunder both improved to 4-0 with wins last night.

Tuesday has the chance to be a big day in the NBA Eastern Conference, as the Milwaukee Bucks will host the New York Knicks in a nationally-televised matchup.

Joel Embiid Over 3.5 Assists (+100) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Embiid had four assists in his last outing against the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday. He did not play in last night’s win over the Magic, which was the first night of a back-to-back, and should be at full energy entering the Tuesday affair.

The Sixers held Embiid to just 20 minutes of action in each of their first two games, presumably in an attempt to keep him healthy. Still, the Washington Wizards are 24th in assists allowed per game, and Embiid should have his hands on the ball as he continues to get more comfortable on the court.

Collin Sexton Under 17.5 Points (-112) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Sexton put up 15, 21, and 20 points in his first three games as a member of the Charlotte Hornets. While that might normally be reason enough to bet his over, I believe that regression from his extreme efficiency will lead to him cashing the under on Tuesday.

Sexton is shooting 56.3 percent from the field and 50 percent from three, both of which are unsustainable over the long run. The Miami Heat are also third in field goal percentage allowed and 10th in points allowed per game, which gives more credence to Sexton going under this mark.

Chet Holmgren Over 1.5 Threes (-108) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Holmgren, a newly-crowned NBA champion, has been terrific to start the season. He averaged 24.7 points and 10 rebounds on 56.7 percent shooting, but more importantly for this NBA prop bet, he made 2.7 threes per game on 42.1 percent shooting from downtown.

Holmgren went 2-5 from range against the Dallas Mavericks last night and has gone over in three of four games. The Sacramento Kings have done a nice job defending the perimeter this season, but Domantas Sabonis is the exact opposite of a player who wants to spend his time on defense patrolling the outside.

Myles Turner Over 5.5 Rebounds (-130) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Turner, a newcomer on the Bucks, went over in two of three games and snatched six rebounds during Sunday's loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. He’s about to take on a New York Knicks squad that is fourth in rebound rate and rebounds allowed per game.

While those numbers might dissuade many bettors, I believe they, combined with Mike Brown’s willingness to use double-big lineups, will ensure that Turner gets plenty of time on the court. He’s also a near-lock to play 30 minutes and is his team’s best rebounder behind Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Stephen Curry Top Points Scorer (+155) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Curry only had 16 points last night after getting off to a scorching-hot start to the season, scoring 23, 42, and 35 points. He led the game in scoring in two of four games thus far, and will get to go against the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday.

James Harden and Kawhi Leonard scored 30 points in each of LA’s last two games, respectively, putting the bar for Curry around that mark. The Clippers don’t have strong perimeter defenders, and they’re old, so I doubt they want to chase Curry around screens on the perimeter.
