This game features one of the lowest totals of the NFL season
Josh Allen and the Bills are coming off a home loss to Philadelphia
Buffalo is favored by seven points and needs a get-right game before the playoffs
The Jets have been one of the worst teams in football over the past few seasons, but their matchups with Buffalo are usually competitive. That said, I don’t expect that trend to continue in Week 18, as the Bills are set up to pull away early.
Despite the low total, there are still several player props that offer value in this matchup. I’ve targeted three props on Fanatics Sportsbook that stand out. Sign up for a Fanatics account today and get up to $2,000 in FanCash. Read more about this promo in our Fanatics Sportsbook review.

James Cook has been one of the best running backs in the NFL over the past few seasons, and he’s been dominant in 2025. On the year, he has 307 carries for 1,606 rushing yards, which leads the league.
Cook has also scored 12 touchdowns, the sixth-most in the NFL, and he remains Buffalo’s most reliable offensive weapon. I expect him to be a major part of the game plan in Week 18.
He’s rushed for over 100 yards in nine games this season, including a massive 216-yard performance against Carolina.
The Jets rank 27th in the NFL against the run, allowing 135 rushing yards per game. With New York struggling on defense all season, Cook is in a great spot to clear this number.

There isn’t a better quarterback in the NFL at extending plays with his legs and finding the end zone on the ground than Josh Allen. I’m backing him to score a rushing touchdown this week.
Allen has 14 rushing touchdowns in 2025 and continues to be one of the most dangerous dual-threat quarterbacks the league has ever seen. He’s rushed for 579 yards on 112 carries this season, averaging over five yards per attempt.
At this price, Allen offers excellent value, especially if the Bills get the ball inside the five-yard line. New York will be forced to spy Allen on nearly every play, which often leads to breakdowns elsewhere.
In the first matchup between these teams in Week 2, Allen rushed six times for 59 yards but didn’t find the end zone. Against a Jets defense with nothing to play for, I expect him to make up for that this time around.

Brady Cook has been New York’s quarterback over the past few weeks, but he’s struggled to find any consistency. In four games, he’s thrown for 679 yards with one touchdown and seven interceptions.
The most passing yards Cook has recorded in a single game is 188, which came against New Orleans. I don’t expect him to come close to that number against Buffalo. He’s been one of the most inaccurate quarterbacks in the league and should have trouble moving the ball in this matchup.
The Bills boast the best pass defense in the NFL, allowing just 163.4 passing yards per game. Cook hasn’t faced a unit of this caliber yet, so I expect the Jets to lean heavily on the run.
Buffalo should generate pressure early and often, forcing Cook into difficult throws and potential turnovers. The Bills’ defense is set up to dominate this game, making the under the right side here.
