While he may not be the most physically gifted quarterback in the league, Darnold has consistently made the right decisions and, most importantly, found ways to win football games.

Sam Darnold Over 225.5 Passing Yards  (-115) at bet365

Darnold’s passing yard total is surprisingly low this week, mainly due to Carolina’s recent defensive play. That presents a great buy-low opportunity, and I’m happy to back Darnold here.

He’s cleared this number in three straight games and in four of his last five overall. Last week against the Rams, Darnold threw for 270 yards in an overtime win.

Darnold has totaled 3,703 passing yards, fifth-most in the NFL. He’s thrown 24 touchdowns, though he has also been intercepted 13 times, showing a willingness to take risks downfield.

Seattle has placed more trust in Darnold as the season has progressed, and I expect a pass-heavy approach against Carolina. He’s gone over this number in ten games this year, which makes this prop particularly appealing.

The Seahawks should also establish the run with Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet, which will help open up play-action opportunities and allow Darnold to attack through the air.

The final Darnold prop I’m backing is for him to throw at least two touchdown passes. While Seattle has a strong running back duo, I expect Carolina to focus on taking away the run near the goal line.

Darnold has thrown multiple touchdown passes in eight games this season, including a four-touchdown performance against Tampa Bay. I see a similar ceiling this week, as Seattle will likely need him to make plays through the air.

Look for Darnold to exploit Carolina’s secondary in the red zone, where Jaxon Smith-Njigba continues to emerge as one of the league’s top wide receivers. This duo should connect for at least one score on Sunday.

Darnold has also done an excellent job extending plays when pressure is applied, a skill that becomes even more valuable in the red zone.
