This week’s edition of Thursday Night Football features two NFC West rivals as the San Francisco 49ers visit the Los Angeles Rams. While both teams entered with hopes for a division title, the Niners have been devastated by injuries, including to their top defensive star, Nick Bosa. Below, we’ll share how we see his absence impacting the Niners, along with our favorite Same Game Parlay.

The Rams have proven themselves to be one of the NFC’s top teams this season. While the Niners have a talented roster, injuries have taken a toll on them. That includes a season-ending injury to Nick Bosa, who was the heart of this defense. His absence was noticeable against an average Jags offense, and will be even more so as they line up against a far superior Rams’ attack.
The San Francisco offense has also been afflicted with the injury bug. Receivers Ricky Pearsall is dealing with a knee injury, while Jauan Jennings is banged up all over. Combine that with Greg Kittle and Brandon Aiyuk being on the IR, and you can see why we expect the Niners to do a lot of losing over the coming weeks.
LA pulled off an impressive win over the Colts last week, winning 27-20. The defense made some big plays, allowing the offense to seal the victory with fourteen fourth-quarter points.

This is one of the easiest bets to make for this week’s edition of Thursday Night Football. The back has 355 combined yards with two touchdowns, averaging an impressive 4.5 YPC. He was especially electric against a good Colts defense last week, rushing just 13 times but gaining 77 yards.
While Bosa was known for his pass-rushing skills, his absence will also take a toll on the run defense. We saw that last week when they allowed Travis Etienne Jr. to rush 19 times for 124 yards and a touchdown, averaging 6.5 yards per carry. Williams is a different back than Etienne, but he is an equally talented playmaker, leading us to believe he will put up similar numbers against the Niners this week.
With the Rams going up early in this game, Williams should end up seeing plenty of carries on Thursday night.

While Puka Nacua is racking up massive yardage totals, Matthew Stafford has been using Davante Adams in the red zone. The aging receiver isn’t the payer he once was, but his size and impressive hands make him a deadly target in the red zone. Adams has scored in three straight weeks, and we see that streak continuing against the Niners.
The Niners' pass defense is going to be in for a rude awakening this week. With Bosa out, the pass rush is going to allow Stafford to torch this secondary. While the unit played well last week, that came against a Jags passing game that has been struggling over the previous few seasons. Expect that success to end once they face a Rams pass attack that is one of the best in the NFL.
