Arman Tsarukyan vs. Dan Hooker - Lightweight Division

After years of trash-talking between Arman Tsarukyan and Dan Hooker, the main event this weekend finally pits them against one another, with fans expecting one heck of a bout.

This is Tsarukyan’s first return to the octagon after pulling out of his title fight at UFC 311. He’ll arrive in Doha having won his last four matches. The last was against Charles Oliveira in April 2024, where he picked up the win via split decision. Tsaraukyan hasn’t fought in over a year, so he’ll need to be on top form in the ABHA Arena this weekend if he wants to take the challenge to Oliveira.

Hooker comes into this on a hot streak of his own, picking up wins in his last three fights. We last saw him square off with Mateusz Gamrot, where he won through a split decision. Hooker is known for his powerful fists, and he’ll be aiming to deliver some mighty blows this weekend. This won’t be easy. In his way is Tsarukyan - a fighter who has taken on some of the best strikers the division has had to offer.

Belal Muhammad vs. Ian Machado Garry - Welterweight Division

Next on the card, we'll see if Belal Muhammad is worthy of recapturing the gold when he takes on Ian Machado Garry.

Muhammad let himself down in his last outing with Jack Della Maddalena. The Welterweight Championship was on the line, but ultimately Muhammad lost via unanimous decision. If the Palestinian wants a chance to reclaim the belt, he’ll first have to get through Machado Garry.

Only picking up one loss in his career, Machado Garry has certainly lived up to his nickname, “The Future”. Back in April, we saw him duke it out with Carlos Prates. This impressive performance was enough to earn him the unanimous victory. He is currently the sixth-ranked fighter in the division, and if he wants to climb up the rankings, he’ll need to win here.

Volkan Oezdemir vs. Alonzo Menifield - Light Heavyweight Division

The fight between Volkan Oezdemir and Alonzo Menifield is shaping up to be an all-out brawl, as both men normally let their fists do the talking.

Oezdemir has proven he’s not to be messed with, boasting a 65% knockout record. Unfortunately, his last bout with Carlos Ulberg didn’t follow suit. It was clear from the outset that he was the weaker fighter and was unanimously declared the loser. Current champ Alex Pereira will be seeking a new challenger, and if Oezdemir wants to be considered for this, he’ll need to leave Doha victorious.

Standing in his way is Menifield, a fighter who has an impressive knockout record of his own,  having finished 53% of his fights by KO. Last time out, he took on Oumar Sy. The fight went the distance and he was awarded the unanimous decision. Fans will be eager to see how he fares against Oezdemir, someone with a very similar build and fighting style.

Jack Hermansson vs. Myktybek Orolbai - Welterweight Division

Both Jack Hermansson and Myktybek Orolbai will have to put it all on the line if they want to see their name featured on the Welterweight power rankings after this weekend.

Hermansson has had a storied 15-year career and has taken on some of the biggest names the sport has had to offer. The former CWFC Middleweight Champion was unlucky in his last performance back in June. He took on Gregory Rodrigues and caught a left hook in the first that left him unable to continue the fight. He’ll need to muster up everything he has in this one if the aging fighter wants to prove he still has what it takes to compete with the best.

Orolbai is fairly fresh in the UFC, having only four fights with the promotion. In June, he stood toe-to-toe with Tofiq Musayev and locked in a Kimura lock in the first. This forced his opponent to tap and earned him his first win in the UFC. He’s surely been working hard with his camp at Team Alpha Male to ensure that he leaves the octagon with his hand held high after facing off with Hermansson.

Serghei Spivac vs. Shamil Gaziev - Heavyweight Division

The first fight on the main card has Serghei Spivac clash with Shamil Gaziev for Heavyweight supremacy.

Serghei “The Polar Bear” Spivac will need to have everything on show in this one, as he comes into Doha fresh off two losses. June saw the Moldovan take on Waldo Cortes-Acosta, with his opponent leaving victorious at the bell. His next opponent has some ferocious hands, so it will be interesting to see how he and his team have prepped for this in the lead-up to this bout.

Gaziev has been great so far in the UFC, only picking up one loss in his second fight in the promotion. The Bahraini loves a knockout victory, something he has been able to do in 64% of his clashes. This is how he was able to finish off Thomas Petersen in February, after a strong right hook in the first, leaving his opponent unable to compete. We can imagine he’ll be looking for a similar finish here.
