BetMGM added another well-known spokesman to their growing roster of movie stars and retired sports personality ambassadors to promote their brand.
Jalen Rose, an alumnus of the University of Michigan will be joining other superstars popular in the state including Barry Sanders and Chris Chelios in promoting the BetMGM online gambling platform.
Rose was a star in Michigan, where he will be forever remembered as part of “The Fab Five,” one of college basketball’s most famous teams. He also enjoyed a 13-year career in the NBA before becoming a multi-media personality, known throughout the television industry as one of the hardest-working analysts and columnists.
Official terms of the deal announced on Monday were not disclosed. Timing is excellent for the retired NBA and college basketball star, coming a few days before the Men’s NCAA College Basketball Tournament, where he will be quite visible on network TV. Add a bonus that Michigan has a #1 seed in the “March Madness” tournament.

As part of Rose’s responsibilities, he will participate in upcoming marketing and promotional campaigns for BetMGM. Also getting involved with other types of fan events, help the sports betting brand affirms its market position and strengthen a lasting bond with fans.
While sports wagering continues to gain legislative acceptance across more US states, Rose expressed his excitement getting more involved and joining BetMGM, one of the leading sports betting brands nationwide:
The excitement around sports and the growth of sports betting, and BetMGM in particular, this year has been special to witness. I’m beyond excited to go from a spectator to a player joining the BetMGM team, continuing to defy industry expectations.
Rose will also have direct personal and virtual engagement with customers at BetMGM and with members of the M Life Reward loyalty program for MGM Resorts. He will feature in the content on social media and be involved with BetMGM radio and television broadcasts nationally.
Matt Prevost, Chief Revenue Officer, BetMGM enthusiastically welcomed Rose aboard saying:
Jalen Rose is an All-Star addition to the BetMGM team. The impact he has had on the game of basketball is surpassed only by the exceptional analysis he provides fans daily. We anticipate a great relationship and look forward to the initiatives we’ll pursue together.
Adding Jalen Rose to their celebrity athlete roster furthers BetMGM’s commitment to Michigan and drive to become the state’s #1 sportsbook.
The deal follows recently welcoming legendary Detroit Lions running back Sanders, who was named as an official brand ambassador last month. Also adding the Detroit Red Wings great Chelios gives BetMGM an unmatched all-star team to promote the brand in Michigan.
BetMGM also has a partnership arrangement with the Detroit Lions. Last September, the company teamed up with the Lions to allow their brand to be featured within in-stadium promotions and include signage at Ford Field along with social media and digital broadcast reference.
