The last time that these two teams met, it was a much closer affair than many expected. There are some questions around health. But if the lineups and form stand from each team’s recent games, don’t be surprised to see the Pistons take a win from the Warriors’ struggling offence.

The Detroit Pistons have all of the energy and athleticism, but none of the discipline. When they face the Warriors, Detroit must make it a point to limit the Warriors’ three-point opportunities.
Despite shooting just 31% from three in their last game, the Warriors are second overall in the league in three-pointers per game and ninth in three-point efficiency.
After allowing the Suns to shoot over 40% from deep in their last game, and owning the 28th ranked three-point defence in the league, slowing the Warriors’ attack from range should be priority number one for the Pistons.
Cade Cunningham received his 2nd Technical foul and was ejected for this. ?

The Detroit Pistons may not have the talent to be a serious threat on a consistent basis, but rookie star Cade Cunningham is certainly the future of the franchise.
In his last game, a loss to the Phoenix Suns, Cunningham posted 21 points and 4 assists on 9 of 15 shooting from the field. He only played 24 minutes, but his knack for running the offence was felt throughout the game.
The Warriors don’t look like they’ll have their star pair of Green and Curry available to them, so Cunningham needs to get the Pistons’ offence in gear early.
The Golden State Warriors are in for a tough test when they face off against the Detroit Pistons. The Warriors struggled in their last game due to the lack of playmaking, so they’ll need to find a solution this time out.
The Warriors were poor in their last game, as they shot just 39% from the field and 31% from range. They also struggled on the offensive boards, limiting their extra opportunities.
As the offence begins to run through Poole and Wiggins, the pair need to use their scoring threat to create for their teammates. If they can’t, they may add another to the loss column.
Jonathan Kuminga is a one man PROBLEM on both ends of the floor ?pic.twitter.com/xxAGQfllX9
— Warriors Nation (@WarriorNationCP) January 15, 2022
The Golden State Warriors are struggling with their stars on the injury list. They have shown their competitive spirit though, especially rookie Jonathan Kuminga.
In his last game, a loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, Kuminga led the bench unit in scoring. The Warriors’ first-round pick posted 19 points and 7 rebounds on 6 of 12 shooting from the field.
Kuminga must improve on his shot selection, as he was just 1 of 5 from deep in his loss to the Wolves. He made up for it with six made free throws, but the Warriors can’t afford to waste possessions with poor shots.
