Next up on the NFL’s Week 9 schedule – get ready to witness two struggling NFC teams battle it out when the LA Rams face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after the Rams and their 30th-ranked offense have lost three of their previous four games and the Buccaneers and their 32nd ranked rushing attack have lost five of their prior six games, this a chance to get back on the winning track.
That poor run game could be why Tampa has failed to cover the spread in each of their last six games as well as why they are struggling to convert on third downs (34.58%, ranked 25th) and that has kept the offense off the field, which is too bad because QB Tom Brady is the second most productive at his position right now completing almost 66% of his passes this season.
One exciting matchup to look for in this game is LA Rams star CB Jalen Ramsey versus arguably one of the best WRs in the game, Tampa Bay Bucs’ Mike Evans, who is an effective route runner with the size to battle for close catches with enough power and speed to earn yards after his catches, and it doesn’t hurt that he will be snagging balls thrown by the GOAT QB Tom Brady.

Here is where some research comes in handy since we know that the oddsmakers think that these two teams will only score a combination of 42.5 points during this game, a low figure given that these two squads were in the Super Bowl conversation before the season got started, a sign that things are not going as planned due to injuries, lack of GOAT focus, and other factors.
The LA Rams offense typically generates 16.9 points this year compared to the 27.1 points per game they were scoring last regular season when they eventually won the Super Bowl while the TB Bucs have been averaging just 18.3 points per game, that total of 35.2 considerably lower than what this bet allows for so if you believe that low scoring trend will continue bet the under.
Keep in mind that each of the last six games between LA and Tampa Bay have gone over the total points line, though now the Rams' defense has allowed opponents to score 22.4 points per game and the Bucs' defense has allowed opponents to score 18.9 points per game for a total of 41.3, still, under what the oddsmakers predicted so, we think that the under is the Points Total bet to make.

This money line bet is close enough to go either way so have fun putting a few dollars on your favorite to win here, with a $100 bet for the Rams to come out on top paying a winner $125 plus that original investment and a $141 bet on the Buccaneers giving winners a $100 payday plus that initial amount, two fun ways to make this already exciting game even more thrilling.
Los Angeles has won all six games against Tampa when the Rams have been underdogs so we think that is the best way to go here, but keep in mind that the Bucs secondary will be facing a WR Cooper Kupp (ankle) who is listed as questionable to play, so be sure to check back before game time to be sure he can play because QB Matthew Stafford might suffer without him as a target.
Stafford has already been sacked 24 times this season so his offensive line needs to step up and with four of them already on Injured Reserve, the next men up need to keep their franchise man better protected, and the Rams defense that is ranked 5th best in the league and 11th against the pass will be facing a Bucs team that now has nine players listed as questionable to play.
