Jordan Love completed 72.7% of his passes in Week 1
Jayden Reed led the Packers with five targets against the Lions
Deebo Samuel posted 77 receiving yards, 19 rushing yards, and a TD last week
The Washington Commanders looked even better than expected in Week 1, but faced a Giants team that will finish last in the NFC East again this season. Now they’ll be heading to take on a great Packers team in front of a rowdy Lambeau Field crowd. Will the upstart Commanders be able to stay hot against a better team, or will they become the second victims of the new and approved Pack Attack?

Nothing against the Commanders, but they were not tested in Week 1 against the Giants. The team was in control the whole game, despite the 21-6 final score. This team went into cruise control late, but they will pay for that today against a great Green Bay team in Lambeau on Thursday night.
The Packers dominated the Lions in a stunning win to open the season. Jordan Love showed no signs that his thumb injury was lingering, completing 72.7% of his passes with an 8.5 yards per attempt average. He also took full advantage of the Packers' depth, completing a pass to 11 different players on Sunday. The Commanders lack the secondary depth to handle that, which will allow Green Bay to run up the score.
On the other side of the ball, we saw the defense look elite with Micah Parsons on the field. He not only added pressure and a sack, but also helped elevate Luke Van Ness and Rashan Gary, who both had great games. Washington’s offensive line did allow the Giants to create some pressure, which included two sacks from Brian Burns.
Expect Washington to go down early in this one as they adjust to playing a Super Bowl contender on the road.

We mentioned that Love spread the ball around last week, but Jayden Reed did finish the day with the most targets. Washington has some talented corners, but not a ton of depth. They also have rookie Trey Amos starting. While the young defender looked sharp in Week 1, he’ll face a far more difficult test in Green Bay.
The Packers are going to spread this Washington defense out, which will allow Reed to thrive. While the team’s receiving corps remains young with some unproven talent, they are an electric group with big-play ability. That will stop the defense from focusing on Reed, giving him so space to deliver some big plays.
Reed did hurt his foot in Week 1, but was able to return to practice on Tuesday.

The Commanders have made the versatile Deebo Samuel into a centerpiece of the offense. He finished Week 1 with a team-high 77 yards, including a 19-yard touchdown run. His health remains a concern over the long term, but he isn’t on the injury report heading into this matchup. A fully healthy Deebo is one of the most dangerous offensive players in the league, and he will show that again on Thursday.
We expect Samuel to be the lone bright spot for Washington in Week 2. His style and ability will be a great way to attack an excellent Packers defense, especially if the run game stumbles.
While this bet may not hit until later in this game, Deebo will be involved once Washington’s offense is able to register a score.
