NFL Odds Week 17

Cowboys vs. Commanders Odds, Thursday, 1:00 PM EST

The Dallas Cowboys have the potential to rip the Washington Commanders through the air on Thursday. Washington is battered on defense, and Dallas has one of the NFL's best passing attacks.

Dak Prescott has been consistently connecting with George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb. Additionally, Washington will likely start Josh Johnson at quarterback, and he doesn’t have the talent to keep up with Dallas on the scoreboard.

Lions vs. Vikings Odds, Thursday, 4:30 PM EST

The Detroit Lions are nearly eliminated from playoff contention, yet they were widely picked to win the NFC at the start of the season. The Lions are coming off a loss to the Steelers, where they couldn’t get a stop on defense.

Aaron Rodgers carved up Detroit’s defense, but Minnesota’s likely starter, Max Brosmer, shouldn’t do the same on Christmas.

Detroit must win, and this is a perfect game to get back on track for Dan Campbell’s team.

Broncos vs. Chiefs Odds, Thursday, 8:15 PM EST

Christmas Day is capped with the Broncos and Chiefs from Arrowhead Stadium. This was supposed to be a massive game for both teams at the beginning of the season, and now it’s meaningless for Kansas City.

The Broncos currently hold the top seed in the AFC, but the Chiefs have been eliminated from playoff contention. Bo Nix and Courtland Sutton should respond after a bad loss to the Jaguars in Week 16.

Texans vs. Chargers Odds, Saturday, 4:30 PM EST

The Houston Texans have won seven games in a row, and they have a great chance to finish the season with nine consecutive wins. They’ll be challenged against the Chargers on Saturday, but Los Angeles is very battered on the offensive line.

The Texans have made a living on their pass rush this season, and this should shine through once again on Saturday. Justin Herbert will be under too much pressure to succeed against one of the best teams in the AFC.

Ravens vs. Packers Odds, Saturday, 8:00 PM EST

The Baltimore Ravens need to win the next two weeks and have the Steelers lose both their games to have a chance at making the playoffs. Pittsburgh is favored over Cleveland, so the chances of this are slim.

Nevertheless, the Ravens play first, so they will be hungry to set the stage for the Steelers. The Packers are also fighting for their playoff lives.

Both teams are underperforming, but Green Bay has been much better this season on both sides of the ball.

Cardinals vs. Bengals Odds, Sunday, 1:00 PM EST

The Cardinals jumped out to an early lead against the Falcons on Sunday, but they couldn’t sustain their momentum for four quarters. The Cardinals’ offense collapsed, a pattern we have often seen throughout the season.

The Bengals don’t have a great defense, but their offense has been fantastic when Joe Burrow is under center. Burrow threw for 309 yards and four touchdowns last week against the Dolphins and can easily replicate this on Sunday.

Steelers vs. Browns Odds, Sunday, 1:00 PM EST

The Steelers are due for a bad game after rolling the Lions last week. Pittsburgh can clinch the AFC North title with a win on Sunday against the Browns, but I believe they’ll have to wait one more week.

Shedeur Sanders looks like a legitimate starting quarterback in the NFL. Cleveland almost knocked off the Bills last week, and Buffalo is much better than Pittsburgh.

Saints vs. Titans Odds, Sunday, 1:00 PM EST

The Saints have drastically improved with Tyler Shough under center. The quarterback has led the team to three straight wins, including a 29-6 victory over the Jets on Sunday.

Shough is looking like a first-round pick, and this wasn’t the case early in the season. He is playing much better than Cam Ward, who was the top pick in this year’s draft. The Saints have momentum, which should lead to a victory as a slight favorite.

Jaguars vs. Colts Odds, Sunday, 1:00 PM EST

The Jacksonville Jaguars rolled the Denver Broncos in Week 16. They’re clearly one of the best teams in the NFL, and Liam Coen has helped Trevor Lawrence become a franchise quarterback in less than one season.

Lawrence is one of four quarterbacks this season with five touchdown passes in one game. He should keep this going against a Colts secondary that was dominated by Brock Purdy last Monday.

Buccaneers vs. Dolphins Odds, Sunday, 1:00 PM EST

The Buccaneers have made their lives very difficult in the final two weeks of the season. They must win the rest of their games to secure the NFC South, and this is their only path to the playoffs.

The Buccaneers just lost to the Panthers, forfeiting their spot at the top of the division. As bad as Tampa Bay has been this season, they’re still better than Miami with Quinn Ewers at quarterback.

Baker Mayfield should respond with a win on Sunday to set his team up with a chance for the division title.

Patriots vs. Jets Odds, Sunday, 1:00 PM EST

The New England Patriots are on the verge of clinching the AFC East. New England finishes with the Jets and Dolphins, so they should coast to an undefeated record.

Unfortunately, the top seed in the AFC doesn’t run through New England right now, so the Patriots still have their work cut out for them in the final two weeks. The Patriots need a win and a Denver loss, so expect them to keep playing with a high level of intensity.

Seahawks vs. Panthers Odds, Sunday, 1:00 PM EST

Sunday’s game between the Seahawks and Panthers is very meaningful for both teams. Carolina can clinch the NFC South with a win and a Tampa Bay loss, while Seattle must keep winning to control the top seed in the NFC.

The Panthers are a pesky team, and they do have big wins over teams like the Rams and Packers in 2025. However, Carolina will likely have its sights set on next week’s NFC South title, pending the Buccaneers taking care of business against the Dolphins.

The Seahawks have a little more to play here, which will make the difference in the game’s outcome.

Giants vs. Raiders Odds, Sunday, 4:05 PM EST

The Giants and Raiders are two of the worst teams in the NFL, so don’t expect much in this contest. Jaxson Dart can’t stay healthy for the Giants, and Geno Smith has been a turnover machine for Las Vegas.

The Raiders have an edge because they’re at home, but this game should come down to the wire. I’ll take the Giants because of their defensive strength.

Eagles vs. Bills Odds, Sunday, 4:25 PM EST

The Eagles and Bills have been two of the best teams in the NFL, but they’re in different spots for this game. Philadelphia is relatively locked into its playoff spot as the NFC East champion.

They don’t have a chance to earn the top seed in the NFC, while the Bills still are contending for the division crown. Buffalo’s defense has been bad this season, but the Eagles struggle to score.

Josh Allen should take the lead for the Bills, giving them the win on Sunday.

Bears vs. 49ers Odds, Sunday, 8:20 PM EST

The San Francisco 49ers blew the Indianapolis Colts off the field on Monday. However, I doubt we will see a repeat performance against Chicago because the Bears have been one of the best teams in the league.

The combination of Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams has been spectacular, and the team has consistently won close games. Prevailing in tight games is what makes good teams great, so the Bears are on the right track.

Chicago has more talent than San Francisco despite their injuries.

Rams vs. Falcons Odds, Monday, 8:20 PM EST

  • Rams: Spread -8.0 (-110) | Moneyline -450

  • Falcons: Spread +8.0 (-110) | Moneyline +350

  • Total: Over/Under 49.5 (-110/-110)

As long as the Rams take care of Kyle Pitts, they shouldn’t have any difficulty with the Falcons. Atlanta is on to 2026 despite a few recent wins.

Los Angeles is favored to win the NFC Championship, and they’re the much better team in this spot. They also have the MVP favorite on their team with Matthew Stafford, so I’ll back Los Angeles on the road.
