Ammit Hellfire is the 5th installment in the namesake slot series, revolving around the Egyptian goddess of divine retribution. With a new female protagonist, this release brings lighter visuals and fresh features, including Max Win symbols and Mystery Prizes.

Released in early 2026 as the fifth installment in Wishbone's series, Ammit Hellfire quickly became one of my top casino slots.
The game sticks to the 5x3 grid, 20 paylines, a $0.20–$40 betting range, and high volatility typical of most of its sister slots. Yet it replaces the dark, stone-carved look with brighter, cartoon-style visuals and playful animations, which gives it a much lighter tone.
Although its 96% return-to-player (RTP) rate is slightly below the popular Ammit Treasure’s, the base and bonus game’s 6,000x max win and 8 original bonus features make Ammit Hellfire a must-try slot.

The Ammit Hellfire slot game launched in January 2026, less than two years after the original title in the series. As the fifth installment, it takes a noticeably softer approach to visuals, clearly aiming to appeal to a different audience than its predecessors.
Wishbone’s OG Ammit slot was its first venture outside the classic fruit and gems territory. With Egyptian mythology already a proven favorite among slot players, basing a game around the ancient Devourer of the Dead felt like a smart move. Its rapid rise to popularity quickly proved that instinct was right.
The blend of a familiar myth with a unique Multiplier Collection mechanic made Ammit Wishbone’s top-performing game, that is, until Kingfisher was released. Ammit Hellfire slot looks to recapture that momentum by adding a feminine touch to the story along with a new set of features, including Max Win symbols and Mystery Prize mechanics.
While there are plenty of places where you can play the Ammit Hellfire slot online, my favorite is one of the best US online casinos - BetMGM Casino.
This site’s 2-part welcome bonus opens doors to this Wishbone release like no other. The $25 no deposit bonus lets you test-drive the slot without risking your bankroll, and the 100% up to $1,000 match deposit deal offers enough gaming fuel for you to rack up some solid wins with a $10 minimum casino deposit. The offer in WV is a bit different and it gives out $50 no deposit bonus + 100% deposit match up to $2,500 and 50 bonus spins for Bellagio Fountains of Fortune slot. Both offers can be claimed if you use our promo code: WSNCASINO.
The 1x rollover for the no deposit and 15x rollover for the deposit offer make withdrawals more attainable than you’d expect. And the fact that you don’t need to worry about safety, since BetMGM Casino is licensed and regulated by Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia authorities, only adds to the convenience.

The Ammit Hellfire slot RTP sits squarely at 96%, with high volatility and 6,000x maximum win potential. These stats are typical for the industry and not far from those in Wishbone's other recent games. But let’s see what they mean in terms of gameplay.
The 96% RTP is 0.17% lower than in this series' most popular slot, Ammit Treasure. However, that difference barely registers while you’re spinning the reels, especially if you tend to play shorter sessions.
The slot’s high volatility, however, feels pretty rough. The long periods you have to sit through with little action are tedious at any bet level. But payouts as big as 50x from a simple 5-of-a-kind Eye of Horus combo keep the game from feeling pointless.
The 6,000x max win is not only 750x higher than in the original Ammit slot, but also easier to score. All you need to do is land the Max Win symbol together with the Collector symbol. With the $40 maximum bet, you’re looking at $240,000 without having to trigger the bonus round, more than enough to intrigue me.

Casino Random Number Generators Explained: Why Online Casino Games Aren’t Rigged
6 months ago | Daniel SmythThe 8 bonus features are among the main reasons Ammit Hellfire slot is so attractive to players. Here’s a close look at each one and how they work.
Wilds are heart symbols whose main role is to substitute for other symbols (except Scatter and Value) and help you create winning combos. When they’re burning, they add to the pile of gems next to the grid behind the goddess Ammit. This pile grows until the Mystery Prize is activated.

Mystery Prizes activate at random, during the base game, and award one of the prizes from 3 fixed tiers, which sit atop the grid:
Low-value symbols: 1x to 5x
Medium-value symbols: 7.5x to 25x
High-value symbols: 50x to 5,000x
There’s no telling when the feature will unlock, even if the gem pile seems massive. It happened twice over 50-ish spins for me, paying out only 5x my bet, so it didn’t feel as grandiose as I’d expected.
The Value symbols are Ankh Coins with an inherent value, and the Collector symbols are Ammits, which land only on the 5th reel. If the two coincide, Ammit immediately adds up all present coin values to your total. This is how I bagged all the biggest wins in the base game, so it’s something to look forward to.
The Max Win symbol is the blue Ankh, which immediately awards a 6,000x max win if it hits the grid at the same time as the Collector symbol on reel 5. Unfortunately, its activation strips you of the ability to trigger the Bonus round, so I almost feel lucky I never got it.
The Progressive Multiplier is the number in the shell-like frame attached to the right side of the grid. It starts at 1x and increases by 1x each time a Scatter symbol lands on reels 2 and 3, but not on reel 4. Its maximum is 10x, though I never got farther than 3x. This value carries over to the bonus round and applies to whatever return is accumulated at the end.
Scatters are Pyramid symbols that match across reels 2, 3, and 4 to open the Bonus round. During the bonus, only Value symbols appear, each carrying an amount featured in their Tier (the same ones from the Mystery Prize). These can be hard to track at first, but you get used to them after a while.
You start with 3 spins, but this count resets every time another Value symbol lands, so the round easily stretches out whether you’re playing the Ammit Hellfire slot demo or a real-money version. Mine played for 10 minutes straight, and by the end, I felt like I had truly squeezed every drop of potential from it.
Every Value symbol that lands locks in place until the bonus round ends. Then all the Value symbols’ values add up and multiply by the Progressive Multiplier you reached in the base game. If you managed to fill the whole grid with Value symbols, your total also doubles. Keep in mind, though, that all prizes are capped at 6,000x your stake, regardless of the result.

Having played several Ammit slots from this series, I didn’t expect much from this release. Most of them feature the exact same visuals, 5x3 grid, and 20 paylines. So, I made sure to launch the free Ammit Hellfire slot first, just to see whether it’s worth my money. Needless to say, I ended up pleasantly surprised.
Although the game keeps the original theme, turning Ammit into a living female character instead of a statue adds much-needed energy to the gameplay. The lighter, cartoonish visuals and fun animations also make the experience far more playful than in the predecessors.
From simple symbol highlights to full-screen zoom-ins in anticipation of feature activation and transitions to bonus rounds, it really feels like the game shares in the excitement of each win.
The only thing that didn’t really wow me was the audio. The soundtrack felt a bit too modern for the setting, and the effects were slightly jarring, but in the grand scheme of things, these are nitpicks.
Despite its complex features, Ammit Hellfire remains user-friendly and offers smooth cross-platform performance, making it an easy recommendation.
My Ammit Hellfire slot review made me a fan of the series once again. The female lead, lighter visuals, and intricate animations make the game feel fresh, even though it features all the original’s beloved elements, from the simple 5x3 grid to the standard 96% RTP.
Yet, the new features steal the show, both because they add dynamics to the gameplay and because they make 6,000x max prizes possible in the base game. Between Mystery Prizes and Max Win, Collector, and Value symbols, it seems like a big hit can drop at any moment.
It’s just a shame that high volatility keeps these features at arm's length, which is my main complaint about this slot. I went through 10-spin long dry spells more than once to get a payout, so if that’s not something you can bear, I’d go with a different slot.
Otherwise, there’s really little to dislike about Ammit Hellfire. For anyone looking for a fresh take on the industry-favorite theme of Egyptian mythology and loves feature-rich video slots, this is the one to try.
