The Celtics continue to struggle to defend the paint and foul at a high rate. Philadelphia’s multitude of scorers can take advantage of Boston’s defensive inconsistencies.

The Sixers are coming off of a difficult loss against the Memphis Grizzlies. While they were without Embiid in that match, their issues were guarding the arc rather than the paint.
Doc Rivers’ team allowed the usually three-point deficient Grizzlies to hit sixteen threes. The Grizzlies were efficient from deep as well, hitting 42.1% of their three-point attempts.
The Celtics play with a more flexible lineup, prioritizing drive-and-kick play over traditional post-ups or one-on-one opportunities – outside of their All-Stars. Being able to manage screens and recover to shooters will determine Philly’s success.
The Boston Celtics like to play small. Against the Philadelphia 76ers, they are at a disadvantage. If they want to compete, they need to put in a strong effort on the glass.
The Celtics’ proficiencies are clear. In victories, they win the rebounding battle by an average of 6.1, and in losses, they are outrebounded by 2.9.
Boston’s best rebounders are Thompson and Williams, two players that rarely share the court. If they want to win the battle on the glass, the Celtic’s wings and guards will need to collect their fair share of rebounds.
hey, it’s been a couple minutes, we’re overdue for a Ben Simmons transition dunk video: pic.twitter.com/VQdRY1XL9K

Australian international Ben Simmons continues to be an enigma for the Sixers. While they’ve been successful, the oversized point guard has struggled to find his offense at times.
Simmons was poor in his last game against the Grizzlies. He posted just seven points, seven rebounds, and four assists in 26 minutes of play.
Simmons’ ability to get to the rim is crucial to the Sixers’ game plan. How he handles the Celtics’ perimeter defenders will determine how efficiently the Sixers can score.

Robert “Time Lord” Williams always fills in at the center position admirably. With Daniel Theis shipped off during the trade deadline, Williams has done his best to shine.
In his last game against the Hornets, Williams had a solid overall game. He posted 16 points, eight rebounds, two steals, and a block on 77.8% shooting from the field.
Williams will have his hands full trying to manage Joel Embiid. He has the strength and the length to battle in the post, but his awareness against such a savvy offensive player will be tested.
