Brown is coming off a seven-catch performance against the Lions last week. That’s the most catches he’s had in a game this season
In Week 1, Brown had just one catch for eight yards against the Cowboys
The Cowboys have allowed the second-most receiving touchdowns in the NFL this season
It’s been a somewhat unusual season for A.J. Brown. His productivity has been wildly erratic, putting him at risk of not reaching 1,000 receiving yards for just the second time in his career. Yet, he’s had some big games for the Eagles and is coming off a seven-catch performance in Philadelphia’s win over the Lions last week.
Even if he’s not having his best season, Brown has surely contributed to the Eagles being heavy NFC East favorites. Philadelphia also has some of the shortest odds to win Super Bowl LX. There’s no question that Brown’s presence is a reason why the Eagles are championship contenders.
There is also time for Brown to kick things into gear, starting with this week’s game against the Cowboys. After Brown had just one catch for eight yards in Week 1 against Dallas, he’ll be looking to make a bigger impact this week, especially since the Cowboys are one of the worst defensive teams in the NFL this season. We’ve decided to make Brown the focal point of several prop bets in Week 12.

Touchdowns have not been easy to come by for Brown this season. He’s scored just three in nine games played, and two of those came in the same game against the Vikings. That doesn’t make him a reliable target for a touchdown prop. However, his 11 targets last week show that his usage in the Philadelphia offense is on the upswing, making this bet worth a shot at +150.
Naturally, the Dallas defense is also a reason to believe Brown will find the end zone. The Cowboys have allowed 23 passing touchdowns this season. That’s the second most in the NFL, with only the Bengals allowing more. That points to multiple Eagles scoring receiving touchdowns in this game, increasing the chances that Brown is one of them.

Given the season he’s had, this is a big number. Brown is averaging just over 50 receiving yards per game on the season. But again, his usage was up last week, as Brown got 11 targets. While that only produced seven catches for 49 yards, if he gets a similar amount of attention from Jalen Hurts this week, Brown should be able to surpass 60 receiving yards.
Again, the Dallas defense has to be taken into account. The Cowboys give up the second-most passing yards per attempt and the fourth-most yards per reception in the NFL. They haven’t been good at defending the pass this year, and with Devonta Smith also a concern, Brown should get plenty of opportunities. While he’s been sluggish in his last two games against the Cowboys, in Brown’s first five games against Dallas since joining the Eagles, he went over 60 receiving yards.

For a player with Brown’s abilities, this is such a low figure that you have to take it. For what it’s worth, he’s had a reception of over 23.5 yards in just three of nine games this season. But he’s still a threat to create big plays, and after getting 11 targets last week, it’s worth taking a chance on Brown making a play down the field.
Once again, the Dallas defense contributes to the thinking with this bet. On average, the Cowboys allow 3.2 pass plays of 20 yards or more every game. They’re also tied for the second-most pass plays of at least 40 yards. The Cowboys have struggled to prevent big plays, which is why Brown is a good bet to do just that in Week 12.
