Riding a three-fight win streak that saw her not only win the strawweight title from Joanna Jedrzejczyk but also defend it in a rematch, Rose Namajunas now puts her title on the line against number-one contender Jessica Andrade in Andrades home country of Brazil.
Namajunas, 26, last fought over a year ago, when she defended her strawweight championship against former champion Jedrzejczyk on April 7, 2018 in Brooklyn, New York. Namajunas won the fight via five round unanimous decision. Prior to that, she had won the title from Joanna via first-round TKO.
Thug Rose stands at 5 feet, 5 inches and possesses a 65 inch reach. She fights out of Denver, Colorado with head coach Trevor Whittman at the 303 Training Center. Namajunas has a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and black belts in both karate and taekwondo.
Jessica Andrade, 27, is ranked number one in the UFC womens strawweight rankings.
