Unibet and New Jersey Devils Agree on Multi-Year Partnership

Unibet, one of the newest gaming operators in New Jersey, and the New Jersey Devils have entered into a multi-year partnership.

Under the agreement, Unibet will amplify their in-arena and digital promotion with the team plus the gaming company will receive numerous accommodations for their customers.

The partnership marks Unibet’s first arrangement with a professional team in the United States. The company has a long history of partnerships with sports teams across the globe including Liverpool F.C. in England and Paris Saint-German F.C. in France.

One of the more exciting stipulations of the agreement for the gaming company is that Hall of Famer Martin Brodeur, the all-time leader in wins for an NHL goalie, will work as Unibet’s Brand Ambassador.

“New Jersey Devils fans are some of the most passionate and educated hockey fans in the world,” said New Jersey Devils legend and Executive Vice President of Business Development, Martin Brodeur.

“The sportsbook app developed by Unibet offers dedicated Devils fans a really special, new way to engage with the game they love.”

For Unibet, the partnership with the Devils signals a commitment to bettors that they will provide gaming options for the New Jersey area for many years to come.

“We are incredibly excited over our partnership with New Jersey’s beloved Devils, and especially over welcoming goaltending legend Martin Brodeur to our team,” said Arnas Janickas, Head of U.S. Marketing at Unibet.

“Together with the Devils and Prudential Center, Unibet players will enjoy a greater entertainment and hospitality experience, and now with our newly launched Sportsbook in New Jersey we anticipate a long and successful partnership with the Devils.”

What is Next for Unibet?

For Unibet, the agreement with the Devils is another significant step for the gaming company in their initial launch into the growing sports betting market in the United States.

Unibet entered the New Jersey market in June of 2019 and they recently announced plans to open a sportsbook operation in nearby Pennsylvania.

With Pennsylvania’s recent adoption of online betting for customers, Unibet believes that the state is a solid option for expanding its reach in the United States.

The company has set its headquarters in New York City and plans to offer online casino games such as poker and bingo alongside their in-person and online sports betting options.

For the ownership group of the New Jersey Devils, seeing Unibet’s impressive launch into the United States and New Jersey sports betting market made the company a natural partner.

“Following the New Jersey Devils game in Sweden and Switzerland last October and the franchise’s position as a rapidly growing global brand, it was natural to partner with a sportsbook with a reputation as a trusted leader in the European and international sports betting ecosystem,” said Adam Davis, Chief Revenue Officer for Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment.

“We look forward to connecting this esteemed international sportsbook with the passionate fans of New Jersey, providing one more avenue through which Devils fans can engage and with the most exciting team in the NHL this year.”

With the start of the NHL season just days away, Unibet’s partnership with the Devils should be prevalent in the Prudential Center, home of the Devils, for opening night.
