The highlight of the week for boxing fans comes from Manchester, England, where the UK takes on the USA in a heavyweight clash. Local favourite Moses Itauma risks his perfect record as he attempts to move to 14 wins from as many starts. Standing in his way is an experienced American, Jermaine Franklin Jr, who carries a fearsome 63% KO average.

American Jermaine Franklin boasts 15 knockout wins
Britain’s Moses Itauma brings a 13-0-0 record
Itauma and Franklin meet before a sell-out Co-op Arena, with millions more following the action live on television. The heavyweight rivals are scheduled for a ten-round contest, but very few boxing pundits expect this one to go the distance. When power and ambition meet power and experience, sparks fly. Which warrior will claim an important win here?

The table above shows the odds available in the fight-winner market. As you can see, traders working at BetMGM fully expect England’s Itauma to add another win to his already impressive CV. That makes Franklin an underdog, with the odds offered suggesting there’s little chance of an away win. Boxing bettors know anything is possible in the heavyweights.
The odds shown are correct at the time of writing. If gambling, please remember that boxing betting odds are subject to change. The price you see when placing your bet may differ from what was available when we published the preview. In most cases, it pays to bet early on boxing. You can beat the inevitable late rush by deciding on your prediction today.
The simplest way to gamble on Itauma vs Franklin in England is to play the fight-winner market. Study the stats and form, select the most likely winner, find the best odds, and confirm your bet. If you back the correct result, the profits will appear in your betting account minutes after the final decision is announced. Do you support the favourite or the underdog?
Predicting the winning fighter may be the easiest and most common way to bet on boxing, but it’s far from the only option available to fight fans and gamblers. You can wager on the total rounds, winning round, method of victory, and more. One of my favourites is the method of victory. With this approach, you must predict both the correct fighter and how they’ll win.
An example of a strong method of victory bet is Itauma by KO/TKO.
With the prediction above, a $100 bet pays $130. That’s a $30 profit, and your $100 stake back. If Itauma wins on points, Franklin wins by any method, or the bout ends in a draw, your wager loses, and the bookie keeps your stake. Study the stats and shoot for a big profit.

Moses Itauma is one of the hottest names in British boxing in 2026. The 21-year-old from Kent may only have 13 fights and 26 professional rounds under his belt, but he’s already ranked sixth in the UK and 15th in the world. Victory this weekend will improve his global standing, nudging him towards bigger and better things later this year. He’s eager to shine.
The 6’ 4” southpaw boxer has won all but two of his bouts inside the distance, resulting in an impressive 85% knockout average. Will he get Franklin out of there before the end of the tenth round? Nine knockout wins on the bounce suggest so, with each of those wins coming inside the opening two rounds. It’s easy to see why bookmakers support Moses.

Jermaine Franklin Jr knows he faces a tough challenge this weekend, but fighting on the road is nothing new to the underdog. Franklin is a 32-year-old puncher from Michigan who has 24 wins against two defeats on his record. Both defeats came on the scorecards against British boxers in London. He suffered losses against Dillian Whyte and Anthony Joshua.
Since losing to Whyte and AJ just five months apart, Franklin has featured three times. The American, ranked 36th in the world, got his career back on track with two points wins and a sixth-round stoppage victory. We last saw him in action when scoring a solid unanimous decision over Ivan Dychko in Las Vegas last summer. Can he make it four in a row?

Itauma has been making headlines across the globe following an electric start to life as a professional heavyweight. Many see him as a future world champion, and his form supports those claims. I’m extremely confident he’ll win again and move his career to 14-0-0. Unfortunately, traders have this bout locked down, with no value available in the fight winner.
Instead, we head into a market I covered earlier in this article, the method of victory. Predicting how Itauma will win pays more than backing him for the victory. Given his stats and form, a stoppage win makes the most sense. I’m settling on Moses to beat Franklin inside the distance, making him the first boxer to stop the American inside the distance.
Franklin certainly won’t go on the attack early. He’s difficult to beat and even more difficult to get rid of before the end. Itauma must remain patient, and I’d be surprised if he ended things in the opening two rounds. But the Englishman will eventually find his distance, and that raw power will shine through. Take Itauma to win by KO/TKO at -333 with BetMGM.
