While Chalkboard Fantasy is designed for mobile, if you really want to play it on desktop you can download third-party platforms that will allow you to. It runs, but not as well.

The Chalkboard Fantasy mobile app provides a seamless, modern experience. 

Chalkboard Fantasy walks you through account creation and any verification needed, then drops you off at your homepage. From there, you start choosing picks straight away. 

I found the app incredibly intuitive, and found any features I needed quickly thanks to well-organised menus and simple pathways. The clean graphic design sidesteps the filler content and distracting text that some DFS platforms suffer from, so you focus on the action. 

This interface is consistent throughout the entire gameplay experience. Keeping half an eye on my picks while watching the game was fun and, yes, I made use of the “Cash Out” option: easily accessible from the “Entries” tab in the menu.

Play with Coins or CB Cash and make your entries as simple or as complicated as you’d like. Choose from NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, and some college games, if that wasn’t enough choice. I chose picks from different leagues and sports, including some from games that had already started.

Chalkboard Picks Purchases 

This is for players looking for real-money prizes and uses CB Cash, which requires a purchase in the app. Simply make deposits of up to $1,000 in any 24-hour period and start building your entries. The method of assembling your picks is identical to Social Sports Picks, but there is no option to play for fun with Coins.

Shield Play 

I found Shield Play to be the most engaging feature at Chalkboard Fantasy. Shield Play means you still get a prize if you slip-up on a single bad outcome.

You don’t need to jump through any hoops to make a deposit or withdrawal at Chalkboard Fantasy. Their process is beginner-friendly. Their KYC process is straightforward - the only documentation I had to provide was my ID and proof of address.

There’s a lot right about Chalkboard Fantasy. 

The Chalkboard Fantasy app is intuitive enough to make every service they offer fun and accessible. That’s no mean feat, given the sheer volume of sports, leagues, features and promotions on the platform. 

Chalkboard Fantasy’s great selection of play styles allows you to create a truly personalised entry. Shield Play and the Cash Out option allow for slightly less risky play, and Max Cash is perfect for high rollers looking to win up to 5,000x on a single entry.

A lack of options for desktop users is a bit of a shame for some, but I doubt it’ll make much of a difference for Chalkboard Fantasy’s tech-native audience. 

In my eyes, a comprehensive set of responsible gambling resources is a must for any trustworthy platform. Chalkboard Fantasy offers a great selection of tools that can be actioned without needing to contact customer support. Its library of state-specific helplines is an excellent addition to a well-rounded help center. 

There aren’t many players I wouldn’t recommend the Chalkboard Fantasy app to - it’s a yes from me.
