The weekend has returned, and to celebrate, it’s time to drop five of my favorite NBA player prop picks for Friday.
Kon Kneuppel continued his NBA Rookie of the Year campaign by dropping 26 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists in the Charlotte Hornets’ win over the New York Knicks last night. Jalen Duren also poured in 30 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists to lead the Detroit Pistons sans Cade Cunningham past the New Orleans Pelicans.
After only three games last night, there is a loaded slate of games that are imminent. The standout will see the red-hot Atlanta Hawks visit the Boston Celtics as the fight for playoff seeding continues.
Here are my top NBA player prop picks and bets for Friday, March 27.

Garland has played well since he was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers, although he went under this line in seven of his last nine games. That said, he wasn’t far off in all of his unders, and he wasn’t allowed to play his full allotment of minutes due to recent blowouts.
The Indiana Pacers ranked 25th in assists and 29th in points allowed per game over their last 15 contests, showing that they are liable to give up plenty of buckets. Garland had eight assists in only 24 minutes in his only matchup with the Pacers as a member of the Clippers, and I like the value combined with his chances of getting there.

There are several reasons why I am looking at Johnson – who I adore as a player – to go under this line on Friday night. The primary reason is that his skill set, which doesn’t include much pull-up or off-the-dribble jump-shooting, inherently limits him against a team that is committed to cutting off transition opportunities, setting its defense, and staying home.
The C’s have plenty of switch defenders capable of getting a body in front of Johnson, who also went under this line in both of his matchups with the Celtics this season. Boston also plays at a very slow pace and allowed the fewest points per game this year, meaning that there just aren’t many shots or opportunities for their opponents.

James had back-to-back games with nine rebounds and went over in four straight outings, and he averaged 6.0 rebounds per game. While he and the Los Angeles Lakers have played very well recently, they are about to get one of the easiest opponents in the NBA in the form of the Brooklyn Nets, which might lead to him playing fewer minutes and also being less engaged.
LeBron only had three rebounds in his only previous matchup with the Nets this season on Feb. 3. The Lakers’ bigs are healthy, Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves are both playing well, and this seems like an obvious spot for the player who appeared in more games than anyone else in NBA history to take an “active rest.”

There is something that is severely “off” with the Houston Rockets right now. Fortunately for them, and Sengun in particular, they are facing a Memphis Grizzlies team that has Olivier-Maxence Prosper, GG Jackson, Taylor Hendricks, and Taj Gibson as its rotational frontcourt options.
Sengun eclipsed 30 points in consecutive contests and shot 60.6 percent from the field in March, putting him on a good run of form heading into tonight’s matchup. He still isn’t overly consistent as a scorer on a nightly basis, but he’s getting a great matchup with a Grizzlies team that allowed the fourth-most points per night over the last few weeks.

Riley started to turn heads over the last two months, averaging 14.6 points in February and 14.5 in March. He had 19 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists in only 22 minutes in his last outing, and he went over in four of his last six matchups.
The 20-year-old rookie scored 21 points when the Washington Wizards met the Golden State Warriors on March 16. The Dubs ranked 20th in points allowed per game over the last few weeks, and Riley is being allowed to take more control of his offense, so I like his chances in this game.
