Another day of NBA basketball has arrived, and I have my best player prop picks for Tuesday locked and ready to go.
Victor Wembanyama torched the Chicago Bulls for 41 points and 16 rebounds in a dominant win for the San Antonio Spurs, before Shai Gilgeous-Alexander responded in the MVP battle later in the day with a 47-point performance in the Oklahoma City Thunder’s win over the Detroit Pistons.
There is a bevy of enticing matchups from around the league today, including the Los Angeles Lakers against the Cleveland Cavaliers, as well as the New York Knicks against the Houston Rockets.
Here are my NBA player prop picks for Tuesday, March 31.

Ball wasn’t at his best as a playmaker recently, only averaging 5.9 assists per game in March after posting a line of 7.0 for the year overall. However, he already logged games of eight and 14 assists in his two previous matchups with the Brooklyn Nets this season.
The Charlotte Hornets have been playing excellent basketball for a couple of months, and they will be eager to get back to winning ways after suffering back-to-back losses. The Nets were only eighth in assists allowed per game over the last few weeks, but they do not play impressive defense, and should leave the passing lanes open for Ball.

We’ve dropped too far with Towns. Although he’s averaging his lowest scoring total since his rookie season in 2015-16, he still put up 20 points per game on solid efficiency, and he went over this number in 11 of his last 13 outings.
The Rockets built their reputation based on playing solid defense, yet they were only 13th in average points allowed over their last 15 contests. Towns went 10-15 from the field for 25 points in his only previous meeting with Houston this season on Feb. 21, and I like his chances of cashing the over.

There’s no other way to put it—Doncic is in one of the best scoring streaks of his career and in NBA history, having averaged 37.2 points in March and gone over this line in seven straight games. He went under in the Lakers’ last matchup with the Cavs, but he still got to 29 points on 60 percent shooting in only 30 minutes, an uncharacteristically low number.
The Cavs were right in the middle of the league in points allowed per game over the last few weeks, and they’re on the second night of a road back-to-back. Doncic did not play since Saturday and will be well-rested and prepared to continue his final charge toward the MVP.

Leonard went under this line in six of his last nine games, while most of his effort on the court has been applied to the offensive end of the game. He’s also about to face a Portland Trail Blazers squad that ranked 11th in average rebounds allowed over their last 15 outings and has solid rebounders littered throughout its roster.
Leonard went over in both previous matchups with the Blazers, although those were both back in 2025. He’s at a different spot with his team, and the Blazers look like a much more cohesive unit, so I’d be willing to take the risk for plus-money.

Are the Detroit Pistons going to be that motivated to exert the extra energy to chase players around the three-point line after playing an overtime game against the Oklahoma City Thunder the night before? My answer is no, which is part of why I like the over for Ingram.
The Toronto Raptors’ leading scorer split the over/under in his last eight games, but he also shot 42.6 percent from three in March. He also went 4-9 from deep against the Pistons 16 days ago, and this matchup sets up for him to be in an advantageous position.
