NBA Player Props and Best Bets: Kevin Durant, LaMelo Ball & More Picks for Tuesday, April 7

There are just a few games left in the regular season for teams around the NBA, and I have picked out my favorite player props for Tuesday’s action.

Jalen Brunson dropped 30 points and 13 assists to lead the New York Knicks over the Atlanta Hawks last night, before Stephon Castle’s 19-point, 13-assist, 10-rebound triple-double lifted the San Antonio Spurs over the Philadelphia 76ers.

There are a ton of matchups across the league later today, including the Houston Rockets visiting the Phoenix Suns in a matchup between old teammates, Kevin Durant and Devin Booker, in the desert.

Here are my top NBA player prop picks and bets for Monday, April 7.

Best NBA Player Props Today 2026 04 07 Rockets Kevin Durant

Collin Sexton Over 22.5 Points (-104) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Sexton is one of the very few rotational players who are still getting minutes for the Chicago Bulls. Josh Giddet, Matas Buzelis, Nick Richards, Anfernee Simons, and others are all mysteriously unavailable now that the season is almost over and draft position has become more important.

Once known as the “Young Bull,” Sexton averaged 17.3 points on efficient shooting splits for the Bulls. He went over in four straight games, but he also scored at least 18 points in all of those, and the Wizards allowed the third-most points per game over the last few weeks.

Sandro Mamukelashvili Over 1.5 Threes (+138) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Mamukelashvili is a solid shooter, making 36.4 percent of his career long-rangers and going 38.6 percent from beyond the arc this season. He has also been dialed in recently, going over this line in seven of his last eight outings, shooting 52.8 percent in the process.

The Toronto Raptors’ big man doesn’t always get a consistent minutes allocation, but he's usually on the floor for 20 minutes. He also went over this line in both previous meetings with the Miami Heat, who ranked 26th in made threes allowed over their last 15 contests.

LaMelo Ball Under 20.5 Points (-122) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Ball went under in both previous matchups with the Boston Celtics, both of which occurred in March, scoring 18 and 19 points on combined 38.8 percent shooting during those contests. He also went under in three of his last four outings, even though he’s played fairly well.

The C’s allowed the fewest points per game, in part, because their glacial pace of play slows down their opponents and limits the total possessions in a game. Ball is also an easy defensive target for the Celtics players, which could leave him on a shorter leash as the Charlotte Hornets continue to try to escape the Play-In Tournament.

Deandre Ayton Under 10.5 Points (-108) at FanDuel Sportsbook

The absence of Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves should theoretically increase Ayton’s role in the Los Angeles Lakers’ offense. The issue is that LA now has fewer players who are capable of getting him the ball in advantageous positions, and he isn’t someone who can create for himself.

The Lakers lost by more than 40 points when they faced the Thunder last week, and Ayton only had eight points in that game. He also played worse than Jaxson Hayes recently and could be in jeopardy of losing his minutes to his high-flying backup, especially since he only averaged 6.7 points in three matchups with the Thunder this season.

Kevin Durant Over 24.5 Points (-118) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Durant dropped 31 points in his last outing and has now gone over this number in eight of his last 10 contests during the best scoring streak of the second half of the season. He’s also just as efficient as ever, having posted 56/44/86 shooting splits to start April, and 55/45/84 throughout March.

To add to the case, Durant already scored 26 and 28 points in his two previous meetings with the Suns, the most recent of those coming on January 5. The Suns ranked ninth in average points allowed over their last 15 contests, but there’s no defense for terrific offense from the game’s best all-around scorer.
