Cavani Scores Ridiculous Goal to Complete Hat Trick (Video)

Napoli destroyed Juventus 3-0 on Sunday, but it was the Uruguayan youngster Edinson Cavani that recorded the hat trick. Cavani is having one hell of a season with Napoli, scoring 13 goals in 16 matches. With the hat trick, the 23 year old striker has tied Udinese’s Antonio Di Natale as Serie A’s leading goalscorer.


Initially, it appears to be a standard diving header. However, check around the 1:10 minute mark for the right angle. Cavani finishes with the most strangest of touches… the scorpion.


“Cavani Matador…Cavani Matador…” The commentating is priceless.

Considering that Cavani completed a hat trick with this goal, I put this one in the goal of the year category. Anyhow, Hamit Altintop won the 2010 FIFA Puskas Award for his volley in Turkey’s 3-0 win over Kazakhstan. Here’s the video…
