Atlanta Drive was victorious in the inaugural edition of TGL and everything is clicking so far for the defending champions in Season 2.
In the opening game, Atlanta edged out New York 6-4 and that was followed by a 7-4 win over The Bay.
Since TGL started, Atlanta Drive has gone into battle 10 times and emerged with the ‘W’ on nine occasions. That’s pretty remarkable stuff.
After managing just one win in five games in Season 1, Jupiter Links has again found it a struggle this time.
Jupiter Links has endured two losses so far - 8-3 to New York and 8-4 to Los Angeles.
Tiger Woods, the co-founder of TGL, will again be present but only in a non-playing role as he recovers from yet another back procedure.
His place on the Jupiter team is taken by Akshay Bhatia once more.
This is Match 7 of Season 2.
In the outright market, Boston Common (2-0) leads the way at +240.
It’s then +275 Atlanta Drive, +333 New York Golf Club, +350 Los Angeles Golf Club, +1400 The Bay Golf Club, Jupiter Links.

Each match consists of two teams of three playing 15 holes across two sessions on a selection of custom-designed holes
Triples: Holes 1-9 - Each team of three playing in alternate-shot format
Singles: Holes 10-15 - One-vs-one, head-to-head competition for the entire hole. Each player from each team plays a total of two full holes
Modern match play is the scoring system. Each hole is worth 1pt
If the match is tied after 15 holes, Overtime (best-of-three, closest-to-the-pin) kicks in
The Hammer (each team gets three per match) allows teams to increase the points value of a single hole. The flag/towel is thrown down by a team official to signal its use and can be accepted or declined
Chris Gotterup
Gotterup is one of the early stars of 2026 and it all began at TGL where he’s standing in for Justin Thomas. Gottterup made a big impact in his first two outings, winning three of his four Singles matches, enjoying a chip-in in eagle and nailing every putt inside 10 feet. On the PGA TOUR, he kicked the season off with a superb win in the Sony Open and backed it up with a solid 20 in the Farmers Insurance Open.
Lucas Glover
Despite being part of a championship-winning team, Glover has been a quiet presence in TGL. This is his first start of Season 2 and he played in just two of Atlanta’s eight games in Season 1. That said, he still made an impression, going undefeated in Singles with a 1-0-3 record. One of his appearances came in the 9-1 win over Jupiter when he won one and tied one of his two Singles against Tiger.
Billy Horschel
Horschel’s love affair with TGL continues. Add in Game 1 of last year’s finals and he’s now earned the winning point in each of Atlanta’s last three matches. His record of 10 Singles holes won and 16 Singles points across Seasons 1 and 2 is unmatched. After starting his season with 27th at the American Express and MC at the Farmers Insurance Open, expect more fireworks from Billy-Ho in the SoFi Center on Monday.

Akshay Bhatia
Bhatia, who reportedly turned down a lucrative offer to join LIV, hasn’t been able to turn around Jupiter Links’ TGL fortunes so far. He’s hit every fairway (7/7) so far and every green in regulation (4/4) in Singles but has struggled on the greens. It means in four Singles matches he’s yet to win (two losses, two ties). Out on the PGA Tour, Bhatia has had a poor start to the season with missed cuts at both The American Express and Farmers Insurance Open.
Max Homa
After going 0-3-3 in Singles in Season 1, Homa finally won his first point in the 8-4 loss to New York, making birdie with the Hammer. But Homa and Jupiter Links continue to come up short. After opening his PGA TOUR campaign with a decent 27th in The American Express, it was a big disappointment for Homa to miss the cut at the Farmers Insurance Open (75-70), a tournament he won in 2023.
Kevin Kisner
Kisner brings the fun but not the golf. His lack of length off the tee is a problem and he’s been missing fairways and greens in regulation. The veteran even incurred a shot-clock violation in Match 4 so it’s easy to see him as a weak link. That said, his Singles record of 3-5-4 overall suggests Kisner can still contribute.

Despite the idea that TGL could be too random and too short a format to produce reliable results, there’s a very clear and profitable betting strategy emerging in Series 2.
It’s simple - back the favorite.
It keeps winning week after week and I was frustrated to deviate from the plan last week when taking The Bay, who were crushed 9-1 by Boston Common.
But I’m 100% going to get behind the favourite here in what looks the biggest mismatch of Series 2 so far.
Looking at the match-ups, Gotterup is playing far better than Bhatia, Horschel should be able to add to his stunning Singles record against Kisner and perhaps Glover v Homa is a push.
Atlanta should prevail in Triples and let’s remember the 9-1 win over Jupiter in Season 1.
Gotterup should particularly enjoy Hole 13, ‘Stinger’, given that it’s one of his specialty shots and has helped him thrive in coastal events when hitting a low-ball in the wind.
On that hole, players have to hit below an overhanging rock formation that demands a tee-shot that rises no more than 50 feet.
