The MLB’s opening weekend has a fantastic slate of games, but we are locked in on those involving smaller market teams this week. Sluggers from those markets are often overlooked by home run bettors, who flock to back names like Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge, and Cal Raleigh. Today, we’ll be backing one of those stars, but also a pair of small-market power bats for our home run prop bets.
Below, we’ll share our three favorite home run prop bets on Saturday. Caesars Sportsbook provides all the odds we use. If you’d like to give the Las Vegas giant’s mobile sportsbook, use our promo code WSNDYW when signing up to unlock a “Bet $1, Double Your Winnings 10x” offer.

There are some fantastic home run props out there today, but some stand above the rest. Below are the three players we’re locked in on.
The Brewers' second baseman broke out in a big way last season and is showing no signs of cooling off in 2026.
The 26-year-old manned second base for the USA during the World Baseball Classic. He didn’t go deep, but did bat .364 with four doubles and an OPS of .937. We saw that confidence at the plate again in the Brewers' home opener on Thursday, when he went 2-4 with a double.
Turang found a way to improve his hitting last season, leading to a rise in his numbers across the board. Those changes also resulted in a massive uptick in his power, smacking 12 of his 18 home runs after the All-Star break. We expect that to continue, especially with the strong protection he has at the top of the Brewers lineup.
Young Sean Burke will be on the mound for the White Sox today. He is entering his second season as a full-time player for the Sox and was vulnerable to the long ball last season. He led a bad White Sox team with 23 home runs allowed, which is a bad problem to have against Turang and a dangerous Brewers lineup.

The Rays’ first baseman earned the starting job during his 2025 campaign and capitalized on the opportunity. He posted a .316 average with 14 home runs in just 106 games, leading him to be slotted third in the 2026 Tampa lineup.
The Rays and Aranda will be facing Cardinals starter Michael McGreevy on the mound this afternoon. The 25-year-old is still developing, going 8-4 with a 4.42 ERA during his 2025 rookie season.
While the team loves his prospects, McGreevy didn’t love playing in St. Louis, where he went 303 with a 5.22 ERA. By contrast, Aranda hit more home runs on the road, where he hit 10 of his 14 last year.
McGreevy also struggled against lefties like the Rays’ slugger. They are batting .318 with a .912 OPS against the pitcher, accounting for nine of the 12 home runs he allowed in 2025.

The reigning NL MVP was relatively quiet over his first two games, but we know that isn’t going to last. The slugger has more than 50 home runs in two consecutive seasons, and that won’t change as he remains atop an elite Dodgers lineup.
Another reason to lock Ohtani in for tonight is Diamondbacks starter, Eduardo Rodriguez. The 32-year-old has see hisnumbers fall off a cliff over the last two seasons, posting an ERA over 5.00 and a WHIP over 1.50 in the last two seasons.
One reason for Rodriguez’s ugly numbers is his inability to keep the ball in the park. The lefty allowed 25 home runs last season, the second time he’s given up more than 20 in his career.
