The Dodgers haven't been playing their best baseball, but they have a big advantage in Game 2 of their series against the D-Backs.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto takes the ball for Los Angeles, and he has is 5-3 with a 2.12 ERA and a 0.98 WHIP.
Walks have been an issue at times, but if he commands the zone, he's close to unhittable. He has thrown 51 innings and allowed just 34 hits with five home runs.
Ryne Nelson will pitch for D-Backs. He has an ERA north of 5 and has walked 10 batters in 26.1 innings. The Dodgers have scored nearly 30 more runs than Arizona, and they have the potential to put up a lot of crooked numbers against Nelson.

Detroit is in a prime run line spot on the road with a superior pitcher and offense. Tarik Skubal takes the ball for Detroit.
He is 4-2 with a 2.67 ERA and a 0.93 WHIP. There aren't many weaknesses for Skubal.
He has allowed just 44 hits in 54 innings with 71 strikeouts. He gives up one walk and less than one home run per nine innings.
Erick Fedde at home this season is 2-2 with a 4.76 ERSA and has a .270 opponent batting average. On the road, he has a .170 so it has been very tough for him at Busch Stadium.
St. Louis is very good at home, but Detroit has handled business all season. They have scored 30 more runs than St. Louis, and that combined with a better starting pitcher and bullpen should make the difference.

Michael Lorenzen has struggled on the road. He has a 0.95 ERA at home with a .188 opponent batting average, but when he is a vistor, he is 1-4 with a 5.35 ERA and a .276 opponent batting average.
Lorenzen has allowed runs on the road, and I think he will do this once again. Hayden Birdsong should also allow runs in this spot in a brief outing.
Even though he has a 2.31 ERA and shouldn't throw more than three innings, he has a 1.29 WHIP and 10 walks in 23.1 innings.
The Giants and Royals are both top 10 in bullpen ERA which is a concern, but the Giants are eighth in runs scored. If Lorenzen struggles this total can be surpassed.
