Boyd enters this matchup with a 9-3 record and a 2.52 ERA. In his last start he pitched five innings without allowing a run and had nine strikeouts against St. Louis. 

Boyd is almost averaging a strikeout per inning and has a 1.07 WHIP which is one of the best in baseball. His best attribute is limiting walks as he stays ahead of hitters. 

The Yankees will start Max Fried who has been dominant this season. He is 11-2 with a 2.27 ERA to go with 111 strikeouts. 

Fried is having a career season and a big reason for this is his strikeout ability. He is exactly the type of pitcher I want when selecting a NRFI wager. 

Despite both offenses being in the top ten in team batting average, the pitchers have a huge advantage on Friday. The offenses should be tamed in the first inning.
